B L A C K – First VIP Style Car Show Aftermath
B L A C K is now officially in the books. I have to thank everyone for coming down to support the cause. It was the first ever VIP car show in the states. On that hot 102 degree day, we still managed to get a quality showing with cars coming from all over the Coast. Props to SK performance for coming down from Canada as well as the guys from the south.
It was my first time hosting a show and I learned a lot from it. Many things did not go as planned. The car show judges bailed last minute so Dave and his partner Jones from MLC Exotics stepped up big time and took that load off of my shoulders (pause). We made the most of the event and everyone had a great time. Lots of new faces were out there and many were ecstatic about the movement. It made it all worth it.
Judging was done like normal car show judging but engine accounted for 2 less points than the Exterior and interior. Ice also accounted for 1 point less than the main categories. This is because the engine/ice won’t make a car VIP styled, they are just accessories to make a VIP car doper. The Lexus Category (which scored the highest) came down to a 3 way tie. Deciding factors they used to break the tie was wheel fitment, and hight of the cars. There were 2 cars left so the judges flipped a coin. Winner of the toss got best of show, loser got Best Lexus.
Here are the winners of the event

Next year, we hope to see more cars out from all across the country. Thanks everyone who contributed in one way or another. This was an entire team effort and couldn’t have been done alone.
Also big thanks to Liberty VIP, MLC exotics, Dreamakers Kustoms, VIP’d Out and Futura design for their support. I wish to see more companies from our genre supporting in the future.

What car is that 20 form the top? It is a dark color and has no badge on the grill. I have been trying to figure it out for quite some time.
