Where Does All Your Money GO???

Just curious to see how many of you dump all your MONEY into your car??????
 
I don't I guess that's why I am taking a while to finish my build. These are my thoughts.
I think there is a difference in investing money and spending money. 
 
Investing money you will see a return, where as spending money you won't.
 
When I mod I usually try to save up little by little and then do something I want depending on price but, lately it seems like every time I am about to buy an aero kit I take that money and buy something for my business. Last time it was 2 HD video Cameras, this time Vinyl Cutter, heat press and printer. I try not to commingle funds between business and pleasure however it happens,,same source of income.
 
Plus when I do something to my car I gots to do something for the family or wife of equal or greater value.
 
I know some of you are into showing your cars at shows but I probably will never show my car..never have in the past and don't see it in my future so I guess that's another reason why I am not in a hurry..

I spend a lot on home crap

if the money isn't dumped into the car its spent on one of my projects for (sale for) the car, which then goes on the car... or inventory for other peoples car thats the same as my car. :runcoold:

i feel you. tax season has slowed my progress down to a trickle, and now i have to make similar choices. i could finish off the car which is considered a semi-investment since it showcases/will showcase a lot of parts i sell or i can finish up my projects so i have something of my own to sell. i'm leaning towards the latter.

money, goes where you see most importance.

rather than buying stuff i want for my car (unless its a steal of a deal which is usually the case when i buy parts anyways lol) i buy shoes and live. i like to go out and have fun with friends, eating, night life (i should stop the middle of the week night life) and just buying bs like dvds and stuff. i tend to go out pretty frequent so thats a big lump of my $. plus bills and car note.

Beer, Drugs, Condoms and tires

zion, i feel u man.. the past 4 years, i been investing all  my money in tools because i know thats what makes the money in the long run....

most of it has been going into my business

the rest goes to gonig out with the wife

and recently the rest is this order
Mountain biking
Cars 
airsoft.

half of my paycheck is going to my family the other half goes out to my car.  id love to spend money on other things like a ps3 or xbox360 but my thoughts are...daym i could have gotten this for my car for that price lol..  i feel ya thou...i cant help it. im struck w/ the modding bug.

Lunches. I never make my own lunch so I spend 3-12 dollars a day. I've been trying to eat more, and healthier so it's been on the more expensive side lately.

The rest is divided between bills, buying car parts, and trying to clean up my Visa bill.
Luckily, my tax return and selling my other wheels gave me enough to kill off most of my Visa bill in one shot, so I'll be back on track to save up for car parts and labour again.

Short answer: it goes into my stomach and my car.

Bills first,
then Auto Fashion,
then my gurl,
then what ever left for me to spend on my self

most of my money goes to jeans, shoes, partying/drinking and gifts for friends .. only money i put in my car is what is needed now, im over my car, so no need to keep modding it

i used to think that too, but i go out prolly 3-6 days a week, lol...so...if i had a 360, i might not go out as much, lol. but i dont want to spend the money on one. cause the way i figure it, 400 for a system, 100-150 for games...then a tv to make it worth playing...then another controller cause i cant play alone, then xbox live for all the times no one is around to play...so yeah thats enough to get me kitted up lol :pat: wish i knew how to save, and be able to control myself from going out. :sad:

first are bills, then car stuff. my wife makes her own money and buys her own car stuff so idont have to do any of that for her, i just do the labor! 
i never buy clothes, shoes, or any of that bs until i absolutely have to and then i think, shit all this money for some damn clothes, i could have bought "x" for the cars!

imo, if your car isn't very high on the priority list, you'll never make it into anything special and you should find a cheaper hobby.

shoes and food. i haven't bought a single thing for my car yet.

The car is funded by my DJ business. But like Rich and gato, I spend equal amounts on my wife & kids as I do the car. This is gonna be one pricey Y33 lol

Probably b/c most people wouldn't put their car at the top of their list. But I guess that depend son work already done and where you want to be.

all my money went into buying all those strawberry lemonades at hot import nights. 4 dollars a pop, I'm broke now. =)

My money's been going into all the places it shouldn't be lately. I think I had more money back in highschool with my $6.50/hr job than I do now. But thats besides the point. Right now my money goes into the following:
1) Insurance, and phone bill
2) Money to parents since at 24 I still live with them
3) School loans
4) Credit card bills
5) Car parts (about 70% were put on credit cards...stupid)
6) Drinks, food, gas, etc.

I'd like to eliminate #4 and invest into money market, IRA, and possibly general savings. Also I'm almost done with #3 and in 2 months I'll turn 25 so my insurance should drop...that should free up some more money that I can save. Now if I can only put all these good grown up thoughs into action....sometimes good deal on wheels, or suspension takes over hehe.

well that makes sense, except i never said the car had to be at the top of hte list, just near it. you can't build a car with it as your last priority is all i'm saying. shoes, clothes, extra meals out, movies, etc. should all be behind the car imo. obviously responsibilities come first but after that, all play money should go towards teh car. that's just my opinion...

Goes in this general order, sometimes the end half gets a bit mixed up

4) Beer & Bitches
