Ls 400 Thoughts and opinions

Hello all, let me give you a little background on my train of thought for this. Basically I'll be getting back in the states in a few monthes and I need to pick up a new daily, my car right now isn't very comfortable and I'm getting tired of paying off people to get it smogged etc. For the affordability, power and decent gas mileage for a V8 I don't see a better choice for an entry level luxary car. Thats all I want, an elegantly styled, big body sedan without terrible mpg. That being said, I don't have any extensive plans, I just want a nice clean significant drop in ride height (if possible without coilovers) and some nicely lipped 18's. I have the wheel issue handled but would anyone care to offer up opinions, advice, what have you on the vehicle itself and what some solutions are for the ride height? It may take me a few days to respond so don't think your responses will go unappreciated

Cheers from Iraq!

Just bought a 93 LS400, and I love it! But I've never owned a V8 Sedan or anything like it before, but I have similar plans, nothing too fancy

I think if you're gonna lower your car, you should just do it right with some good coilovers. Just save some extra money and get it, it'll worth every penny. On one of my old car, I decided to go the springs and new struts route (Tein S-Tech springs and KYB shocks) and it rode fine, but one of my buddy who has the same car bought the Tein coilovers, and the difference was so clear. The ride quality in his car was so much better imo and I decided to never cheap out again. If I could spend a few extra hundred bucks to make my car look better yet retaining ride quality, I think it's worth every penny.

well, i would suggest UAS (Universal Air Suspension) and new aftermarket struts with adjustable dampening for your ride height issue. and i really dont understand what youre asking about the LS? are you looking for common issues?

I really love the LS, but you might wanna consider a GS300 (I-6) for a good compromise as well...
