headlight tint?

Forum image

there was a discussion about the tint on the headlights of this car which I cannot find anymore.. anyone care to elaborate a little bit about that tinting? If I remember correctly there were a couple other tints that were applied from the same company giving a subtle natural tone that works with your vehicles color.

You can just go to any craft store and pick up spray for stained glass. We use to do that for our civics, works great and holds for about 3 months.

Most people use the colored overlays vs spraying their headlights with paint. I prefer to just leave them clear, along with untinted tailights.

i agree, im also not a fan of tinted blk tails or headlights.
BUT, i got JDM Zenki tails for my hachi and they had a slight stock tint when compared to the USDM ones and i grew really fond of them. So with that said im gonna try a very light tint on my tails and see how it looks (with the overlays of course)

I normally would stick to non-tinted headlights and tails but I had to apply tinted overlays on my tail lights to hide the horrible altezza style which came factory on the Mazda5.

I remember this was the craze a few years ago.

They were about tinting them blue or green though. It's been going on for a while, looks good in light green or light blue. from what i remember it was just some vinyl or something.

Yea, a friend of mine did this to his fogs, and I was like, why don't you just get yellow bulbs, or yellow hids?

It's not like the Lexus IS was the first car w/ yellow fogs: they were pretty much the standard fog color in the 60's and 70's. The main thing I like (and I did get yellow bulbs too) is that the fogs lenses look new w/ the tint! Better than spending $500 on new fog housings IMO and looks cool, again IMO.

Yeah but the IS did kinda set the standard for the yellow "good looking" fogs.
That and the ones from the 240sx.
