I love so much about the Euro culture, that's why it influences me so much.

I've also notice they have North American Vip beat hands down for riding low, and having extremely tight fitment or poke.

Bodywork and creativity should be standard, that's the problem with vip in the us. Some people want to hit that level but don't want to do what it really takes to giturdun.

Hello Widebody_Q,

Just wanted to let you know i'm a big fan of your car. The fitment and the arches are a work of art. Since you've started a "dub" thread i figure would throw up a couple of pics of my oldskool mk2 jetta coupe and it's VIP inspired wheel fitment. I hope you guys dig it!

Thanks man. Yep, that's my '86 jetta coupe vr6!

I'm glad you like the stretch...up front i've got a 16x7.5's et+3 -- nankang nsII 165/40/16's -- 1.0" outer lip -- pulled fenders

I wanna redo my fenders and pull them a bit harder or radius the edge of them like your Q so i can go a bit wider up front...

Sounds like my stretches. Gotta love Nankangs. I have 1" poking too. It sucks because they get curbed so easily from normal driving but you cant beat doing a full u-turn at 1" off the ground. Your car is real clean as it is. It should look even crazier when you finish and its dumped even lower.

Yea, they think way outside the box similiar to the vip scene in Japan but I still think that that Japanese are on a level of their own when it comes to modding modern cars

Q, i wish nankang made a 195/40/16 because i would definetly have it. The nankangs ( like the 512 falkens ) seems to run really small in comparison to other brand tires in the same sizes.

Here's two more pics of my fitment...

I used to own a mk4 GTI sat lower and more flush on coils than probably 80% of the cars on this website. It was just a beater, but i had done tons of body work to it including a fully shave engine bay. Id love to do that kind of work to my Q but love the reliability of not messing with that much crap. And driving in a primered car while donig all my own body work can get old.

Damn! I can't believe how sick those vdubs are! I've always been a fan of this style ever since I got into the VW scene two and a half years ago. I've seen a couple of Corrados pull this off and they look sick, but I won't do it to mine(mine is being turned into a full on track car at the end of summer).

chromed pos... I love your Jetta coupe. What do you have done on your VR6?=)
