Redline Magazine knows it all..
Quote from Redline Magazine:
"Scenes
There is nothing wrong with like minded people getting together,
sharing ideas, etc, but I hate "scenes". They end up making
hundreds of people build almost the same spec/style car, with the mods that are cool to others in the scene. Stav"
And above that text is a picture of apparently a Y32 Cima.
Twats.

hahaaha funny I should read that quote. This weekend I went to Northwest Nissans meet...there must have been 800 cars. I saw at least 100 beat up S13's with fake BN Sports kit, SR20, 18's and loud exhaust. Then there were about 50 G35's all lowered, with similar wheels and nothing else done to them. Oh and not to mention a bunch of R32s with nothing but some ghetto wheels and thats it. Of that 800 cars, there were I think 2 that caught my attention. One was an S14 with a V mount intercooler/radiator setup and a G35 with turbokit and nice kit...too bad the kid killed the car with some Axis wheels. People always take ideas from cars that they have seen and liked and end up using same things on their car.
Thats why you should not care what everyone thinks and build a car for you...not for people on the forum.

I for one have been screaming this at the top of my lungs with a few other members for a while now..... hahahahaha if i had a dollar for every y33 on work wheels i've seen i'd have enough to buy an LS600h done up by JP themselves! Don't get me wrong it's not just our scene as others have stated.... it's also everything else. I figure that if that's what you are into then coo.... but at the same time don't knock those willing to step outside the constraints of the norm and try something not the same, since this is how most scenes get their starts anyways!

I agree with you on that. I think most of the times people knock on certain cars not because of the parts that were installed, but because of the quality. It seems like every month we get someone who cut their springs, installed knock-off of a knock-off wheels and they want everyone to say their car is cool. I'd prefer to see a unique car that looks nothing like the rest of VIP cars...like a Q using a sporty type of a wheel, slammed and maybe with an RB swap in it...its definately outside the VIP norm, because of the modifications...but just because person choose quality over anything else, I would say that car looks amazing.
