Widebody Aristo Gen 2? Is there one out there?

I was wondering if anyone happened to ever see or have pics of an Aristo/GS that has a Widebody on it? I was talking with a coworker today about some recent show cars we saw at the last HIN and we got into the discussion of widebody Lexi(?) and we were talking how we have seen almost every Lexus with some sort of widebody kit but have never seen a Gen 2 with one? Has anyone performed this modification yet?

What do you consider widebody? There's a lot of 2G with fenders pulled or flares, but fully replaced panels are very rare.

Thank you, I have seen the few with the fenders being pulled and the ones with small fender flares when I checked the Aristo Gallery. I was just wondering if there were any that were crazy like you said a fully replaced panel kind of like what some of the LS400's are rollin.

I got pics in my magazines. Seen a few widebody ones now - moreso than flared fenders

Hehehe...I took the last 2 pics of that black aristo. Last I heard it was already butchered and pieces of it were sold all over the country....hiks.

That's too bad, I remember it having a really nice sound system.

Mine are pulled front and rear, but only about 6mm or so. The effect is subtle but noticeable if you are familiar with the 2GS model. I wanted to do more of a full-on wiebody, but due to the stock Lexus flares on this car it is difficult to do. To make it look right, you also have to flare the bumpers and side panels, and probably bring the side skirts outboard some to tie the look together. I didn't want the flares to appear "top heavy." 

The first shot of the black GS below shows what I would conside to be a 'stretched' fender. Mine are not quite as round-looking as these, we elected to keep the stock-looking flare (which reminds me a bit of the old Porsche 944 or Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R flares), just on steroids. We were able to do this without making the lower portions of the car look lost- too many times I have seen aggressive flares at the top of the fender arch which 'die' on the lower panels, exposing tons of tire tread if the car is viewd from a three-quarter angle. I call this the "Coke bottle effect;" the newer Aston Martins suffer from this- if you run offsets that look agressive at the top of the fender arch, the tires stick out near the rocker panels/side skirts, showering the sides of the car with road debris and water.

The other cars seen below have the "flare on flare" look- a simple flare added on top of the stock Lexus 'box' fender flares. This looks incongruous to me, like an afterthought. I'd love to see a 'true' widebody GS, but I couldn't justify spending an extra $15K to do it in metal (the 'right' way).

Ignoring the practicality issues, the exposed tyre is EXACTLY the look i personally will be going for, and it is something i associate with the wide stancehigh camber look alot of us are chasing. I would be completely happy if, when viewed from the front or rear, you can see the lower portion of my rear tyres exposed.

Once i get set up at my new place i will scan one of the pictures in that i have in the magazines to show you the widebody 2nd gen. I believe there was a red one last month, that also cut the fender arches higher for an incredibly tough look

Platinum VIP did a white one

There are very few that I've seen.....I consider those who start the widebody in the rear doors and carry them to the fenders and then the bumper.  All others are flared in my opinion.
