Lived in Japan, miss LUX/VIP scene!

Hey everybody, i'm new to this site. I moved from Japan to Cali about 2 and a half years ago. My dad is military. While I was there, I fell in love with big sedans, minivans, clean bodykits, deep dish rims, stretched tires, crazy offsets, sweet chamber settings, airbag suspension, blacked out windows, bangin' subs in the trunk, silver paintjobs, luxurious interiors and drift stickers!!! lol.
Thats pretty much why I joined this site, Even though I'm only 14 going on 15. Can't wait to get my license. I plan to start off with an s13 coupe. Drift for a while. Then about near my highschool graduaution, I'll get an 1999 Infiniti Q45(Cima Y33). I want give it a total vip treatmeant, with a little style of my own.
Your probably thinking, this is never gonna afford 2 cars in his highschool career....Well I got hook ups working as a deckhand on my granpa's boat. That equals thousands of $$$$$ a year plus tips, WOOHOO!!!
Anyways, sorry for the long explanantion. I just want to share my knowledge of Japanese vip style. And learn as much as possilble about stuff I don't know yet.
Thanks

Hi! Welcome to VSC, where in Japan did you live? I used to live in the Kanagawa prefecture and have visited frequently ever since. It's cool to see more young guys wanting to get involved, we have many knowledgeable members from across the globe, some still residing in Japan and actively involved with vip as well as others who have since moved back to the US. There's also some with great knowledge who have yet to step on the soil of Japan, but they've been building solid cars. Hopefully you find what you're looking for...

I know how you feel about leaving Japan. I was stationed in Japan for about 3 years. Sad thing was I had to part away my Toyota Crown I had. :(

Sorry I haven't answered your questions quickly. Been busy with school. Anyways, I lived in the Tachikawa area. It's only about an hour away from Tokyo. To be more specific, I lived at Yokota AFB in the town of Fussa-shi. A big route in Japan called Route 16 split right in between the base. So when I would stand above the route on the crossing brige, I would see some of the most sickest cars pass by. We also would have The Auto Hobby Car Show on Yokota which displayed cars from all over Japan and the military bases. Not to mention some of the big company's would show their cars too. I miss it so much there!
