VW trying to be VIP wtf?

why not...I'm trying to change up the euro scene down here in Texas. I'm sure some the the H-town guys have seen my car around at a couple of shows but here's a pic for ya, btw I just picked up a set of Rays Victrixs today

oooooooo... I think that's going to be hard..... I mean I've certainly never saw a VW go lux style in any way......

well it's nothing new, but It's always good to see. A lot of VW guys do the stretch and some even rock Eurolines or Hereboranni.

oh yeah it's been done, it was between a set of eurolines or victrixs but the eurolines weren't in that good of shape and the victrixs gave me a little more poke in the rear.

I plan on running plenty of stretch. Eventually I plan on getting bags, but it's coming together slowly

my buddy has a 06 A4 and its vip style...its not just for the japonese cars!

I'm not taking the vip style to heart, but I did get my wheels in. I still plan on getting bags but that's about where the vip style ends

18x8 et31 and 18x9 et35, I'm thinking about polishing them out. There are a few scratches that look like they went through the clear.

How could you forget the A6? I think Audi's are very easy to obtain since their resale value sucks. :biggthumpup:

To the OP: It's  probably g oing to be easier to start with the Passat than any other VW model.  Good Luck

that's because they are unreliable german junk! i feel sorry for anyone driving an audi. of course i may be biased being that i worked on them for quite a long time.

I swapped out the center see see how it would look, got more poke out back and more tuckage up front. I'm going to swap them back to see which I like better

^^That's the one thing I'venever liked about Vdubs and Audis...the rear wheel is off-center in the wheelwell when slammed.

Is there any way you can fix that?

I followed that build on VWVortex and there was a ton of custom work done to that Audi.  It is just sick!!  Darrick's Audi is pretty nice as well, but that A6 is just money!

Is that riding on bumpstop? Seems like if there's anymore compression, it's gonna grind the fender with the wheels eh?

once I got it down it was about 3 hours on each wheel; it took me a hole day to get the first one to where I liked it. I was using the wrong emory bars :pat:

Love it! I've had all kinds of Vdubs...from OG bugs to jettas, golfs, I even had a mk2 jetta coupe!

You have a really nice VW. My favorite way to build any car is "CLEAN." Yours is right there man...nice work.

i used to want a jetta. until i found out how the quality it was from a friend. hehe

Vw's are weird man...from a lot of experience, they are a headache to own, but the "love" you have for the car is incredible! Things break, you fix it, move on.  I really miss my old bug. Probably the best car I've ever had!

theres a fine line between cleanly done euro-style and VIPstyle. many euro's trick people into thinking they are want to be "VIP" due to stance, stretched tires, big lips, and very clean kits.

 to me as clean and nice your passat is, it still lacks something that would make me look at it and think VIPstyle. it looks like most nicely modded euros, with some nice wheels. its a sick car, just doesnt have the vipstyle look.

VWs have been doin the wide wheels, stretched tires, and low offsets for years now. but its not called VIP or referred to as VIP.

true. even though VIP-style comes from Asia but VIP-style doesn't necessarily needs to be an Asian car. VIP-style is just a name similar to luxury cars.

been a while but I thought I give a bit of an update. The blue passat is gone but it's been replaced with something bigger and better. An '09 CC, bags have been ordered and I hope they'll be on before the Texas meet. Here's some pics.

VW, Chevy, Mercedes, Buick, Acura, Infiniti......... sure why not. VIP is open to any car mfg in my opinion. SUBJECTIVE! Its what you make it, so I guess know you need a set of "VIP" rims to make it official. There is no need to wait on Japan to give us ideas on how our cars should look. I'm down in Houston. I plan on being at the meet this weekend if you are going. I got a cheap deal on a set of RS4 reps so I'll run those till I find something with the offsets I like (8.5et45 is almost flush)

i absolutely love the styling of the CC, they made it look so classy but yet sporty. everything they should have done to the phaeton.

lol at the ls400 guy. The CC is hot the only thing left to set it off are some wheels. Baby CLS for the win. I wouldn't mind having that as a daily driver. Passat CC vs. Hyundai Genesis...tough choice. CC is pure sex, genesis is bang for the buck.
 
anyone know if audi plans to make a version of the passat cc in their lineup.  THAT would be sex because all audis look nice.

Never been a fan of V-dubs,  BUT i have been jealous of them....  they way the can tuck wheel is unrivaled and just plan crazy,  i have some friends that run VW's   they look pretty sick.

very clean. i'm impressed. hopefully this model will be more popular than the Phaeton. though the Phaeton was a really nice car, VW just didn't advertise it much and it started out at an extremly high price. higher than most Audis when it first came out

i think the cc posted looks like an accord. no knock on the owner, but i just don't like how it looks :(

in belgium, etc. it's called cleaned style

ive noticed that a lot of vw owners have amazing fitment which is sick.. i think with some extra body mods there could be some really clean vip inspired vws

i think this fitment all started with euro cars......
