Hello from the boring Utah...

There's not much of any VIP styled cars in Utah (not that I'm aware of or see anyways). I love the look and found this site a while ago and finally decided to post. I've been blowing all my money on other expensive hobbies so I haven't hung around much lately. Anyways... my wife and I have a white 98 GS300 that we want to do some stuff to it so I've come here to hopefully get some ideas. We don't plan on doing much since it's more of a business vehicle but I'd like to get it lowered, new tint, spacers, and a clean and simple lip kit with a repaint of the front end. As for rims, I haven't really decided if or what I want to do yet. If any of you have suggestions, please post. Here's how it looks right now. Again, nothing like most of your cars.

Welcome, fellow newbie!!=) I'm in a similar situation with my 98 GS3 in that my wife drives it occasionally and it's my primary business vehicle. With that I can share with you what I've learned and what I'm doing.

Now that's I've become addicted to the VIP Style, I've decided (for now) that my VIP mods will be subtle. After doing some research I decided to go with TEIN CS Version I coil overs that I picked up with less than 5k miles. While other TEIN systems can and will go lower (i.e. SS, Flex,) the ride with them is also a little stiffer than what I'd like in a luxury vehicle. TEIN's CS systems are closer to a stock ride without the "floaty" feel while providing a sportier feel.

I've also picked up a Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust system. It's not as aggressive sounding as some, and that's fine by me. I'm not looking to gather attention by my exhaust note if you know what I mean!

As far as wheels....well that's where I'm stuck right now. There are so many great choices out there and I'm a fan of big dish & low offsets. It really comes down to personal tastes, but take a look around at other members rides and you'll get inspired....and addicted (like me!!).

Anyway....there's my $.02. Good luck!
