New VIP Majesta from Finland

Hi,

New VIP rookie from Finland,
I will have my first VIP style Crown Majesta project at May.
I bought it last month from Japan auction.

Here is some pics

It doesn´t look much, but I think I can made it to full VIP style car in few weeks.

Some first things to do:
20" chrome wheels ( Don´t know yet wich ones )
Low down
Hole interior modification
also planned to put small supercharger...

So I hope I will fit to this nice forum

Welcome! You are very lucky to be able to import one of those Majestas, its a very nice platform
 
One tip though, your comment about wheels sounds like you are planning on buying any old cheap chrome rims from a local wheel shop. Wheel choice makes a HUGE impact on the overall look of your car, and if you get high offset taiwanese chrome rims the car will never reach its true potential...
 
3-piece rims, low offsets and staggered widths (at least 9" and 10") is what you should look for :)

Thank´s for your tip,
can you help me how wide wheel and wich ET / Offset is best for rear and front for Majesta?
Noup I didn´t plan to get with cheapest ones,
but I don´t know and local shops don´t know wich ET / Ofset is best for this,
I have to wait until I have car here... ( by the way this is first Majesta at Finland )

I did found this from USS Auction,

I have this sort of info at home in a book produced by vipcar magazine. I will try to find it for you, but it does depend on a few things. 

How FLUSH do you want to go with it? I assume you will be rolling the guards flat, will you be willing to run with a fair bit of camber? How much will you lower it? Are police in Finland strict on things like wheels which are a bit outside the fenders? Without knowing this it will be hard to give offset information.

Btw, when i meant cheapest, i didnt mean literally the cheapest, but if shops in Finland are anything like australia, they will only stock generic 1-piece chrome wheels with 30-40 offsets that are not too expensive. It will cost alot more to get good quality Japanese rims with perfect offsets, but its worth it.

In my case the shops wouldnt even put my wheels on, because they said the offsets were too low. They just dont understand the VIP way of wheel fitment!

No we need  to keep tyres inside fenders,
but if wheel is coming little out when using too wide wheel with narrow tyre it´s OK.

So I wan´t wheels that will full all fender and get car low as possible that can it be driven daily ( Somehow)

OK Finally found the booklet.

It recommends 19x9 +25 with 225/35 tires for the front and 19x10 +25 with 245/35 tires for the rear. This assumes the car is lowered quite a bit (so that the rim of the wheel is in line with the fender) and the fenders must be rolled flat.

Damn Dom! U got a booklet for max fit wheels?! Care to share em?

It came with one of the vip mags a while back... It just lists the common vip cars and the fitment suggestions, but its pretty conservative. lemme know which car you want to know and i'll post it up!

I got a PDF that gives the factory specced ones, but not sure how far to push though.

No euro's in there... Only Celsior, Majesta, Aristo, Crown, Cima, Cedric/Gloria and the G50 Q45... Sorry!
