LS430 offset help

Hello wheel gurus.

im about to lay some money out for some works wheels and i want to know how aggressive the following setup is going to be. i'm putting the wheels on a 04 ls430 with coillovers with air cups.

the specs on the wheels are:

Front: 20x9 R-Disk +30 - Lip size is about 53mm (2.03")
Rear: 20x10 O-Disk +35 - Lip size is about 85mm (3.35")

i do not mind shaving, but will not want to pull the fenders.

any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

drop the rear's down to +30, u should be OK. mind as well get 5mm more lip. Make sure to get high disk up front.

just a simple shave all around, 225 35 20 and 245 35 20 should do u good.

I have 19X9+30 upfront and its tucked with no rub on 225/35/19.
Out back I have the same setup bt needed a 10 mill spacer to bring it out a bit. With no rub at all. Completely stock fenders.

Depends on what look your trying to get. Are you trying to get the most agressive look you can get? Are you going to be on Air? lots of things factor when when you want to get technical about what wheel size you should run.... I say take it to a professional and im sure they can put u into wheels that will fit your needs... Remember i said a professional that works with wheels and offsets not some guy that says "well this should fit but im not sure"... Im sure you have someone in your area that can give you some nice offsets.

hey thanks for the advice. the car will be on coils/with air cups. on a side note i found another set, and its a little more aggressive, what do you guys think of this one?

Wheel Specs: 5x114
20" x 9.5" Front +25 offset
20" x 10.5" Rear +25 offset

depending on how much camber and what tire sizes you will be running. I would say, you will def need to shave the fenders...maybe even a slight pull.

i Hvae a question hopefully someone can answer.

I test fitted a 20x8.5+25 and it fit and just cleared the BBK.

If I do a a 20x9+25 or 20x9.5+25 will it still clear and essentially give me more lip??

The offsets really dont say if its gonna clear the brake caliper. That would be the disk height. As long as the disk height is a high disk to clear the big brakes you can make em fit. a 20x9 +25 high disk will have less lip than a 20x9 super low disk.

Running a high disk it should barely clear. SiphanRacing is running something like that offset/width. He's on Fabulous wheels. We were told it's high disk, 20x9 with a +30 offset, didn't clear, he had to run a small spacer, either 3 or 5mm to clear? Maybe a 10, but I don't think so.

On my weds, I had to run a 5mm spacer on my 20x9 -?? High Disk to clear the brakes. If not, I would have had to shave down the calipers. The calipers on the LS430 are HUUUGE! You NEED high disk for the front of an LS430

FUCK shaving down the calipers. They are too damn big, and too awesome to do that anyways.

Spacers for the win. Of course, if you are really vip, you'd just buy a new set of wheels (4) to clear the calipers in the front LOL.

Gato -

20x9+25 is 6mm more out than the 20x8.5+25
20x9.5+25 is 13mm more out than the 20x8.5+25

You should be good with either one if the 20x8.5 cleared it and it's the same type of wheel design. You have to take into consideration the wheel design.

My wheel setup is :
20x9.5 (high disk)
20x10.5 (low disk)

I went with the offsets in the 20's ;) I'm not scared to shave/pull/beat my fenders so I'll post up some pictures when my wheels finally arrive... which i wish was sooner than September.

I went with the offsets in the 20's ;) I'm not scared to shave/pull/beat my fenders so I'll post up some pictures when my wheels finally arrive... which i wish was sooner than September.[/quote]

did that give you more lip? did you get at least 3'' up front?

I believe its all in the wheel design. My fronts are standard disk but clear calipers perfect. but then again, leons dont have hi disk/pad.
