Interesting body work thread
Hey guys, found this thread, and it's amazing what they did to this R34.
It's an interesting read to say the least but also a good way to kill some time.
Enjoy!=)

damn, that guy is a pretty mean body man...whoever can change panels without using any bondo is A+ in my book...
I've pulled aprons and panels with the dozer before...makes life easier when you have one...pulling frame is hard though...if you pull one time the wrong way, you're pretty much screwed...
surprised he didn't have to change the crossmember...maybe he did and i just missed it...

That was a lot of work, but I think the vdub community has several that may one up that. I've seen kustom coach werks rebuild a vw bus that had fallen off a cliff and sat there for 30 years.
I've seen some Brits rebuild buses that have been buried by a creek and sat there for roughly 30 years as well.
There are some insanely skilled people out there.

This one has been sitting in a swamp for 30 years or so and was pulled out this month. Almost no floor left and frame condition remains unreported. It is the oldest known bus around that vw does not own afaik. Feb. 52
Here is the buried one:
