Yes I know it's a big ass Dayton...but lowriders use small ones..not 20" plus ones.

That sucks. It was a clean e36 too. Do those 20in+ daytons still use regular adapters with knock-offs? If so, im sure that contributed to that.

anyway, that's wild. That guy is CRAZY lucky. The tool driving the other car should be sued...hard. He just didn't fasten his wheel nut hard enough, that sucks. I've seen stuff like that happen before with stock wheels. not enough lugs fastened and BLOOP! back of the car goes flying into the air and spins out. wheel goes bouncing around the highway. scary to say the least.

again, glad he's alive, that could have easily killed him.

man that sucks. i remember the first time i saw how knock offs were mounted. that s**ts just a bad idea from the get go.
 
i don't really think that the owner of the other vehicle is to blame. well, its very POSSIBLE that hes not. i would be focusing my efforts at the maker of the wheel and/or whoever mounted it. just a horrible design and no real way to ensure proper torque (if that would even make a difference).

Some of the Low-Rod (low rider/ hot rod mix) guys do 20"+ wheels.  I learned that from Vida Guerra on the "Low Life" :smiley-rofl:

Yeah, that sucks, BUT, could have happened with any wheel. It just happens to be this one. Did they find the car that the wheel fell off of? 

This is why we have insurance...though I wonder what they'll do about it being an aftermarket wheel. 

Cheap wheels=cheap insurance.

In the thread it said they found the dude who lost his wheel..he was going the other way on the other side of the freeway.

Looks like a broken lower ball joint. Most 2nd gen GS's will have this happen if it's not corrected with new ones.
