New Rims on the Y34!

I got some new wheels for the M. They are Lexion 201's by Rays. They are 20x8.5 in the front and 20x9.5 in the rear. I didnt really want chrome but I got such a deal on the rims I had to do it. I even had the shop hook up the Tire pressure sensors for me.

I am overall pleased with the look but since they were not custom ordered for the car they arent exactly flush to the fenders. I think im going to put a 15 mil spacer on the front and a 10 mil spacer on the rear.

The springs are set to arrive at the end of this month. I got the ESPELIR springs from a friend who works for the importer.
After that the car needs a kit, not sure how fast that will come but soon I hope.

nice wheel. but it loooks donk lol. maybe if you get your plastic bottoms painted white too and aggresively lower the car...airbags or coilovers. dont use just springs. then it woulds it alot better.

Yeah, im def not happy with the height of the car. I will be adding a full body kit to lower the profile of the car too. I asked a body shop about painting the black trims and they wanted $800. I laughed and drove off. The best I think I can get that done for is like $300. Which I will be putting to a kit. I am going o run the springs for a bit (even cut a dead oil or two if its not low enough), then get the kit then air or coilovers.

npe. meaning the pics weren't showing up.

i think the wheel matches the y34 real well... i likey. hard to tell on the fitment from those pics. it looks real good in a couple of them and a hair shy in others, but since you mentioned it i'm sure they need a little spacing.

Trust me i hate how it looks right now. I originally was going to wait until the springs came in to put therims on. But then I had the rims in hand, tires were here and I couldnt wait.

I was hoping that I could "get away" with springs for a bit and then do the kit next instead of trying to go coilovers or air which is the ultimate goal. Im also going to do a custom exhaust. There are 3 mufflers, a couple of resonators and crap underneath the car. Its ridculous how much piping and junk is under there.

Here is the goal. If i can find someone to paint the lower moldings for under $300 Id go for it. I will be tinting the car and would LOVE to be able to get it this low.

i think you are underestimating the cost of paint. not to say dont look for the best deal but 300 is shooting kinda low.

Nice car/wheels! Not gonna comment on height, but your threshold for paying to paint your parts seems to me very low. If your getting a serious hook up then i'll recind this post, but if your just looking for a deal, IMO that's a bad idea.

Im very spolied when it comes to these kind of things. I have not paid retail for just about anything on any of my cars. I have been very fortunate in finding hookups and people looking for exposure, sponsorships etc.

Speaking from experience, just go for the suspension you want in the first place. So you don't have to pay twice. Also pearl white always costs more to paint. Might be more cost effective to just wait until you can get a body kit to paint everything.

Could be kinda risky painting the plastic pieces, since it is white and its hard to match completely. Wait for a body kit IMO

I dont mind rolling the springs for a while since I also got them really cheap and I have some great friends with a shop who will install it for cheap.

On the painting of the plastic parts, unless i get the sweet hookup from a friend or sponsor then I will be waiting until I get a body kit.

That was what I wanted but since these were the last set in the country and the line was being discontinued I got them at a ridiculous deal from my buddy who works for the importer.

Jade, nice platform to start with. I am from Jacksonville, FL. It's good to see another Floridian on the site. LOL. Isn't there a car crew out in Orlando called Jade Motorsports? I vaguely recall seeing some of their rides before and maybe on deepvison. Hopefully you'll be dropping that thing soon. If your in J'ville holla at me.

Ok so the best price I got for the painting of the sides and rear is $580. Since the paint is a 3 stage pearl thats not too bad.

Here is my dilema, I hope to be able to get a kit in about a year or more. Should I pay the money to have this done now, even though its going to be covered up or replaced when the kit gets here?

The kit is about 3g's plus 1500 to paint and convincing the wife on that will take a while...hehehhe
