Has anyone attempted this mod?

Would it be difficult? It surely doesn't look like a plug and play application.

It looks like it'll physically fit, but the wiring may be off. Might just be better to get an aftermarket screen.

Thats what I mean. Usually converting from one factory system to another is NOT a straight across process. Alpine and kenwood make excellent double din products along with a few other companies.

Sure it can be done, but why? You get a 4" CRT screen no less, and all the controls are setup for the driver being on the other side.

Meanwhile, someone on this site is selling a brand new, with extended warranty Pioneer D3 WITH BlueTooth adapter, AND iPod cable, for only $800 shipped! That's insane bargain there!

I think the anniversary Nav is different. The JDM unit is a CRT not even an LCD screen, but that Xanavi system is prolly from the 97-98 model over there while no US car even had any kind of nav then.

How hard would it be to put the factory navi in from the AE versions?

I love the factory look on it; but it does look a bit dated.
