Hey from Canada
Hey all,
Going to be in the market for a Lexus GS/LS, Infiniti M45 or something along those lines in a few months, came here for everything I need hopefully :)
What would you guys personally go with?
03ish Lexus GS300/430
or
03ish Infiniti M35/M45
My taste before this was BMW's and Benz's but looking to step into something with a little less maintance all the time and more reliable for a daily driver to work. I drool over boat style cars like E39/E60 5 series or E38/E65/66 7 series. Don't need something with a huge amount of power or anything, I will probably leave the engine mostly stock besides an intake/exhaust and work on exterior/suspension. I have an old e28 turbo project in the works so that will be my summer/track/race *****.
Thanks all!
Jay

Canada FTW.
Lexus is going to be a better quality car and hold its value better. The M will be a more original car. You really need to drive them before you can decide.
I have been looking at LS430s and Q45's in Calgary/Edmonton you guys have good prices there.

BC BUD FTW! ;)
More original in what way? I used to drive an old E32 7 series and loved the old skool type rides but was thinking stepping into something newer would save me a little in the long run.
How reliable is the M class compared to a GS? To tell you the truth I don't really care about the value of her in a few years because if it is reliable as a GS as I have heard then I won't be getting rid of this car ever :)

Most definatly not, too many ricer kids driving around in those. Too old as well.
I am looking to get into something newer, lower milage, that will last forever. We have a client that has a GS400 with over 600,000km on the clock with no major maintnance done to it other then the usuals. I want something that is going to last me forever, I like driving my cars into the ground and getting my moneys worth out of them.
