thats the one i was waiting for.
It's the same car I posted above, just the pic is more saturated. That's a stock Jaguar color. I was going to post that pic plus some others (which Brandicus posted..so no need now - I always knew you had good taste!)..but it's only 10 images per post..haha. I had to head out..so I wanted to get at least one post in there. I just swapped out steering wheels to an 03' X308 wheel (plus you can see I pretty much made most of the interior look brand new again):
word! Just curious el pres, hows the maintenance & after-market support for these things?
All depends on the year/model you choose as far as maintenance is concerned.. I do all my own work as I'm somewhat familiar with Jags and their inner workings. But I'm not one to shy away from fabrication and taking on large projects..I like the challenge. Aftermarket support is slim and pricey (but high in quality). Maintenance is pricey if you can't do it yourself. There's no cheap way about them as far as hooking one up. I guess it goes with the territory. The only thing in the affordable category is the car itself, but with that comes choosing the right car with the right engine and right electronics as some are hit and miss. Make sure you get one with clean interior too as replacement Connelly leather is VERY expensive unless you plan to reupholster the whole interior...but if you find one with good leather..the Connelly leather is god sent.
dope jags!! where you at mike!! interior shots aren't doing it! lol jk jk =)
Don't worry Steve..it should be close to finished within the next 2 months.
mike, interesting how ur ebrake is located in central console area..... did ur table come OEM or did you fab it yourself?
Nah Justin..it's a temporary solution till my custom one is finished. Then I'll sell this one, it's a Carmate Indeed model (just a lager version).
I cant wait for these next 2 months to go by I know your not gonna let us down...

Yep that's the one! Mmmmmmmmmm...... DAMN!
Nice thread !!
that black on black one is straight gangsta!! seriously tho, just has a presence about it. very refreshing to see something new on this forum!
This is a "love it or hate it" type of car. It doesnt look like anything in its class. The design is very detailed and not as generic as the others. The lines and curves on the car are very sexy. The low roof line is my favorite part of these earlier model Jag's. The ends of my fenders were flared up to resemble Jag fenders
Yah, the X308 model was the last of the low slung roof line cars (this style of roof line ended after 2003 with the X350's from 2004 on). It's odd, I get compliments on the car from all walks of life, young kids to old timers alike. I'm anxious to get things in a more finished state. The black NF Style car is the nicest example of this generation XJ in my opinion. There's a few others that are decent, but none up to par with his. He's a very eccentric guy himself..overly tan, dresses like a GQ model with a hairstyle straight out of Casshern. Haha..otherwise he seems normal from what he writes in blogs and bulletin boards. I don't aim to make my car like his or to out-do him. I plan to make mine an extension of myself and in respecting the marque. It will be without a doubt my car and my style. Some will like it, others won't, and that's ok...because I'll love it.
Do you have a link to the blog for the NF Style car? Thanks
Do you have a link to the blog for the NF Style car? Thanks
Hopefully you know how to navigate it..it's designed for phone use: NF Style Project-J Actually looks like he's in the middle of redoing it. I was just on it a few days ago and now it's totally different..but not completed yet.
some very nice looking jags...who would have known.

does anyone know the suspension options for the xjs?
does anyone know the suspension options for the xjs?
I assume you meant to say XJ's...not XJS which is another car all together..haha. As far as suspension options, there's close to none. J-Complete makes coilovers and there's a few aftermarket springs (but none of them go low enough). The J-Complete coilovers also cost a staggering ¥522,900!!!!! Even their springs are ¥88,000..and most likely just rebadged H&R's (which cost under $400). Their rear camber arms..get ready for it... ¥220,500. It is a complete lower control arm (which on the funky suspension handles camber duties in back. Mina Gallery makes some also and best price is at Jaguar XP who sells them for $500 and sells the Arden springs which are even steeper at around $1000. For me it's custom air as the only real solution.
daym! thanks for the info bro. i agree w/ you. Air is definatly the solution. I cant wait to see updates of your project. Your paving the way for future jag vip owners.
