y33 coilover install - any tips?

i have a set of insurance coils almost here from van @ one ton garage and i was wondering if there was anything i should be looking out for when putting these in.  any suggestions or tips?  these are going on a 2000 y33 AE with the original adjustable shocks.

you sohuld be fine

its pretty much common sense when you look at it.
but to separate the stock setup from the LCA use a BFH and hit it on the side, and it will split from teh balljoint

yeah or you could us a pickle fork and bfh! oh disconnecte the abs sensor from the inside of the car on the shock towers and pull the grommet throughthe wheel well. Soak everything in PB blaster atleast 2 days before it will break the bolts loose easier when disasembly starts.

not sure if those come with abs sensors but the stock ones would not come out of my stock struts without destroying them.  thats the only problem i ran into

sway bar link is a beotch....It'll only come out from the bottom mount where the link attaches to the sway bar, and then only after much anguish.  take your time and buy the hex head socket tool now.  chances are you won't have it in your collection of tools.  I cant remember the size off the top of my head....Its not hard to find but it will definitely slow you down if you don't have it.  and I would not recommend using a normal allen wrench.  you will need to get some decent torque on it, and it may round out the hole and will beat up your hands if you don't put one on the end of a ratchet.

so guys, i'm in the middle of my install i'm having some trouble:

the sway bar link doesn't want to come apart at the coilover assembly, but i did end up taking it apart at the sway bar.  does anyone have any tips?  should i just run it without a sway?

buy knew ones.  Sounds like I'm being funny but I'm serious.  I'm not sure you'll be able to get the old ones out at the shock tower without damaging either the link or your sanity.

hahaha, thanks guys.  i'll be buying new ones.  for those of you who need to buy the hex head sockets that nextgear mentioned, the sway bar links take a 6mm one.
