I got a problem with my suspension.

Ok guys I am putting KYB SRs and Tein springs on my Y33 and Im having some issues. First off the front cylinders are smaller then the strut caseing. I dont know if I was sent the wrong the ones. To fix that in the mean time I got galvanized steel washers to fill the gap that was causing the cylinders to move up and down in the casing. So after I installed them with the springs and took it for a test drive I heard a clunking noise coming from the front set. So I put it back on the lift and found that the springs are too small for the struts so when I hit a bump they shift up and down. So now I have no idea how to fix this so I need help from you guys big time. Thanks.

Check part numbers on the box that you were sent for the strut cartridges. Make sure you have the right ones. You can see what you need on the KYB website.

That's a good start. Pics would also be helpful.

I've been looking around and have found out that kyb supplies spacers for the front cylinders i just didnt get them. So i got the right parts but not everything that goes along with them. Some others have told me that the teins just need to settle and the noise will eventually go away. So i dont know.

Well i have lowered a bunch of cars with spings and shocks and there is some settling that is going to take place .And yes the springs are going to be smaller they are LOWERING SPRINGS if they were the same size you wouldnt get a drop.. Just drive a little bit longer on them the noise should work its way out .As far as spacers go i havent heard nor have i looked into them so if KYB sells them for your car i would pic them up or just keep the washers in place .
