As you open the car door
Today just happened to be a fix it day around my house so here goes.
As you may or may not have noticed in the earlier pictures, only the high beams are on, that is because the low beams do not work. Step in me. Now they work, magic some say, banzai others say.

This part was very difficult, I had to plug the stereo cords in to the back of the unit through this little hole under the player using a mirror and a light, but my arm would block out the mirror and it took a long time to do.
Long story short, the entire audio system now works.

And here is my uber sweet drl solution for the inspection.

That is one sick lookin ride........only thing I would change.......those fogs in the center. But I am taking that you are going to be taking that off after the "inspection" correct? So lucky to have one in such great condition.

Apparently to pass an inspection. I would get better fitting wheels or some spacers. AME's aren't bad, but there's far better wheels out there that would add more attitude to the car. In my opinion the style of wheel doesn't do it for this car, maybe some spacers would help the stance and complete the look a little more. The Y32 aero you have is an older style of vip from the late 90's early 00's. It looks like Insurance..your front and rear aero look like Insurance Special Sedan aero..but not the sides..those look more like Evolution Exclusive V3. With that headlight size you have so many retrofit options to look into. That would really clean up the look of the front end. It's a nice looking car overall and could easily be made to look more your own with a few simple changes.

Nice pickup! I am with elpresident I'm not feeling the AME Shallen AX on the car. They do look pretty wild because you don't often see them with such deep dish.

Perhaps a wheel that is age/time appropriate would look better.

When a car is imported from out of province or out of the country in this case, the car must go through an inspection. One of the requirements is daytime running lights. It looks like he is installing them for the inspection then removing them.

Yes you could import a car that has already been imported into Canada. There are plenty of JDM cars going south already. Some states are easier than others to register and insure.

I understood it was for inspection but what part needed foglights. According to AME_VIP daytime running lights are needed. Ok, so that means they don't have to be headlights just lights period? If that's the case then cool.

That is correct, fog lights are allowed as daytime running lights. I only need them to pass the inspection then they will be gone.

^ no, The car was already here in Hawthorne, CA for over 8 months without a buyer!

In fact it was even put in the companies clearance section, thats how I found out about it.

Also importing the car is the easy part.
It's not a hard as everyone says it is.
I already had a few JDM cars come across my path it's just the legalizing part that is the hard thing.......but there are ways around that. hee hee
