Pillars interfering with rain guards?

If I get those new junction produce stainless steel pillars for my GS400 and do the toyota aristo rain guards as well will the pillars interferr with rain guards? I imagine the rain guards go just over the top of the pillars but I can't recall seeing that combo (with stainless or carbon fiber) can anyone help me out?

from the sounds of it you mean the b pillar cover and then run the metal rainguard? cuz if thats what your talking about..no they wont hit or have any issues on fitment.

i want to say only the cf aristo (japanese) pillar covers will work with the toyota (japanese) rain guards. but i havent tried i only have the cf and toyota on mine.

If you look at the second picture it looks like it's got the rear canard carbon fiber garnish and pillar garnish as well (to further confuse me) Raingaurds:

i doubt youll have problems with fitment

bump - anyone sure of this? i am also looking at Yahoo J at some stick-on stainless pillar covers for just the 2 main door pillars each side on my GS300, but i also want to run OEM Toyota rain guards. i am worried that the extra thickness of the stick-on stainless pillar cover will mean that the rain guard doesnt sit flush along the top window/door edge...?

rain guard go over the pillars ... but i think pillars look better without the rain guard.

^^^^its not for style. its for cracking the window open in the rain for smoking or just for some air if someone farts inside the car while its raining so you can air it out. it aint trendy, it has purpose. LOL!!!

Well I installed them today. It's a 50/50 split. They DO fit but there is a gap betwix the visor and the door where it meets the pillar. I wasn't about to trim the pillar so I filled the 1mm gap with some black silicon. The clips from the JDM visors hold the visors in enough to not make it a big deal. But after the car was water was running down that little hole when I wasn't moving.

Ain't that the truth! I stopped by my buddys work today for a free car wash and one of the guys he's working with was like "so you're into VIP? Have you seen that brown LS430 with the gattlings?" Green Grundel - spewing, i was afraid it would cause that issue. Would you perhaps mind snapping a photo from the side and above to show the gap? would be much appreciated if you could, as i have ordered my pillars and have to decide whether i want to run rain guards too or if the gap will annoy me! 
also from looking on Yahoo J the ones for 2GS just seem to be held with 3M Double sided tape anyway so some silicon to fill the gap whilst sticking it on it should be okay i guess provided the gap isnt huge.

Could you maybe trim away some of the rain guard, and make a little notch so that it can sit flush on the door [i]and[/i] the pillar?

^^ i think that would be the way to go, depending how much needs to come off. im waiting on some yahoo j s/s pillars in the mail so i will see when i get those and decide if i want to buy the rain guards and make them work together somehow..
