my intro thread

what's up everybody, my name's brian and i'm from CT. i currently do not own a vip car, but i'm in the process of looking for a 2nd GEN GS. i currently own a 2000 maxima, and have it slightly modded. i had more plans for it, but i stopped because i want to get rid of it. i've been lurking these forums for a while now, but figured it was time to say what up. i'm 19 and currently in college, but i still manage to work almost full time. i have a lot of plans for when i do finally purchase a GS.

some mods: ksport coilovers, 19" tsw nogaros, raxle.com axles, fstb, berk tech intake, full exhaust w/ obx dtm muffler, clear corners, 20% tints, hyperwhite lights all around, full black leather interior swap, alpine headunit, and plenty of dents/scuffs from people who don't know how to park.

My advice? Don't get a GS. Too many people have the second gen GS, it's WAY too common here.

Welcome to VSC! If you like the GS platform, then you should go for it. I love mine and wouldn't change it for any other make or model. My advice is to not take bad advice. Such as, jump off a bridge, stab yourself, or the most popular one, don't get something cuz someone else has it.

i've always had a thing for the GS, i would have loved to get one before i got the max, but at the time it was out of my price range. i figured even though it's hella common, it's about the modifications that will set it apart.

Any ideas for the GS yet? Hope you don't get beige, and don't buy TSW's.

i actually like the beige GS, and the color of my car has grown on me. as far as TSW's, i know they don't have a popular reputation. my friend gave me these rims, so i'm grateful for that.

as far as the GS and the potential mods, i know it's going to be on air. i'm still researching a nice set of rims, which won't be TSW's or Work Eurolines. i haven't seen to many VIP/VIP style cars around the CT area, so it will be fun be original around here. everyone here has evo's/sti's and i contemplated getting one, but i wanna be about style not speed.
