Your air suspension trunk setup, and what controller you are using/location of it. 

Yes, infamous "I love coilovers" Caoboy, has been tempted with the tantalizing prospect of air ride. A deal too good to pass up, has happened upon me, thanks to the brotherly love of the NorCal vip family. As some say, "When in Rome"...and more and more people are on air in NorCal than coils. So....without further ado, post away friends. :dance:

OMG 80 views and no one wants has pictures of how hey mounted everything in the trunk?

What setup are you going with?

Ask James (bippupxrlex) since he's holding it for me haha. 

From what he said, I believe, 2 tanks, 2 compressors though. It's something he's got pieced together for another car but will work for mine, since it's all universal. 

I like your setup chris, because if you wanted to, you could cover it up with the way it's all tucked into that shelf, and still have trunk space.

Also, as for the controller, I'll just be going with a regular 7 switch box with a valet key on it. Same ones as UAS sells.

stay away from airbagit.com ak.a. chassistech...straight garbage...don't even take it if its free...only thing useful from them are notches frame notches for trucks and tanks...

Yeah I know that, I remember back in the day on the old forums I posted that same company up, and that's the response I got from all members, that their stuff was trash. Cheap for a reason! I'll get more info from James.

So you know It is a FULL competition kit for an ecplise .. 2 3 gallon tanks .. 2 compressors ... valves lines .. fittings .. and gauges .. its Nice I was gonna go with it but changed up for a full blown out custom install ..

Good stuff James, btw, I'm trying to sell my coils already to some guy so I can pick up the stuff asap from you. ordered the controller today, so I'll be ready to go once I get the cylinders.

i suggest you order a single 5 gallon tank...either a normal size one or a pancake tank...depending on how you want your set up...2 3 gallon tanks will take up too much precious room in your trunk...
 
on the bright side, at least your GS has a spacious trunk...not like the Y33's...there's a big ass gas tank back there...makes life difficult when you have bags, amp and sub...

seen mine ?  I have 2  6 or 7 gallon tanks .. if mounted like mine can save alot of room or get the pancake tank

That would be ideal, but for 600 for everything, I'm not complaining right now lol. It's not too hard to change out a tank later on anyways. I figure I could have 1 compressor per tank, and one tank per l/r or f/b. Would this work?

nice set up BP...i liked how you staggard your tank...one mounted on top and one on bottom...its nice to have that ledge in the back  of the trunk huh...
 
i think a 5 gallon and one viair 450 compressor is plenty...that's how i'd do my set up...

yeah, I would do it that way if i had two small tanks and two compressors...

Cool...Yeah the timing is right I guess. Big thanks to John and James in advance. Can't appreciate them enough. Thanks to Brandon for wanting bags instead of the cylinders too! Once Brandon gets his bags, we'll all have to help each other install the suspension!

i can help with the suspension but when it comes to wiring...count me out...i hate to tinker with little wires 8-10 different colors...fuckin' irritating (small rant)...give me a 1/2" ratchet and i'm in my comfort zone...

Yeah that's the only problem I have also, but it can't be THAT bad. I don't know the best way to run air lines and don't want to be stranded from a shoddy install I did myself. The controller I'm getting is the same 7 switch box UAS sells, looks pretty straightforward on the install...hope so at least.

depending how thick the lines are, 3/8" or larger, i would run along the undercarriage...right up against the fuel line into the side vents of the spare tire well...taking off the bumper is probably the best way to get to those vents...
 
you don't need to worry about heat or vehicle clearence if you run along the fuel line...
 
 
and try not to kink the hoses...those 1/2" lines can be a bitch because they don't make tight turns...

You know what? Brandon's good at electronics! But he says he's not good with suspension installs...which we know how to do...haha. 

James will need to let me know what the size of the lines are.

Still waiting on the word from Brandon and ultimately John. I'm in no hurry, as it's a hand me down.
