been gone for awhile....

yep...been dealing with a corrupt police station...hospitals...and lawyers for the past few months.  Long story short, 4 police officers woke my little brother up from a noise disturbance tasered and beat the crap out of him and 2 of his roommates.  Put my little brother in the hospital with 2 fractures and a busted eye socket.  The three boys never had a criminal record before this, they were accused of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstructing justice...lucky for the boys there were 3 others inside the apartment.  When they were screaming for the officers to stop, the officers were shocked to see the witnesses and yelled,"there's other people in the house, did you secure the house?" and the beatings stopped.

I've got to beat the criminal charges first.  then we go to the civil suit.  These boys can care less about the money.  When I flew back to CA, the boys were in the garage, crying...they kept saying they don't want to go back to jail.  They weren't even in a real jail...they were in holding tanks.  These are good boys, just ran into bad cops.  It doesn't make sense for 3 boys to fight 4 cops at their doors...especially steroid freaks that shoot people in the back and plant guns on them...the officer in the picture is a predjudice monster... read this story he was the officer involved:

since this incident, I've been in contact with other victims.  This same officer choked a filipino/white 15 year old to the point of passing out, he has other complaints pending at the moment.

if you get the ACLU involved it will ensure you get a fair judgement in regards to the criminal charges, when it comes to the civil charges you can bring up I feel you and them on the fact that it isn't about money.... it's about an individual who has no place in a position of authority and holding him accountable as well as those who decided it was good idea to release him on the public streets with a gun and a badge.

I just need to add that I don't believe all police officers are bad...Elk Grove, CA has a handful of them in their department, but I believe there's more good than bad there...they really need to weed out the bad ones.  I had a 2 hour meeting with internal affairs when I was in CA last month.  He seems to know his job, but I still feel a lot of times, they are too close to the officers to turn them in.  He mentioned that just because the boys have never been in trouble before, there's a first time for everything.  I agree with that, but for your first time to get in trouble, you're going to fight police officers that are 5 times your size?  I don't believe it.  I think the officers were there to make a point...the boys did get in an argument with the security officer at the apartment, so the officers obviously were told something when they arrived that gave them the pissed off attitude.

As for that assbag of a cop, I'm sure all the steroids he has taken completely clouded his judgement to where he can barely even think on his anymore. I know because I had a friend that played football with me in high school and started taking steroids when the season was over. Toward the end of the school year he was a completely different person and acted most times out of rage. Anyway, I'm a strong believer of karma and I'm sure that cop will get what he deserves sooner or later.:thelaw:

fuck! that shit sucks man! i hate one-time man I just got stopped by the cops yesterday at my work accusing me my car was a stolen vehicle that was stripped off, because it was parked in front of the shop with no headlights, tailights, and a license plate getting ready for paint. I popped the trunk to show him the plate and once he saw the air tank and compressor he was like "wtf is that shit!?" thinking it was like a bomb or something. haha i was like, "it's for my air suspension" he then ran the plates and found out everything was legit and just took off without saying anything like nothing even happened. 

hopefully you can win this and get his steroid ass off the streets. because there's a grip of those corrupted cops over here.

The problem is that when Elk Grove decided to have their own police department, they hired all the thugs that were about to get fired over @ Sacramento Sheriffs department.... (IE: Jason "the steriod beast" Kearsing and Jason "I love Kearsing" Miller)  These guys beat up kids, ladies, blacks, asians, mexicans....doesn't matter...and they write good reports to cover their butts.  All their reports where suspects were beaten half to death state "SUSPECT REACHED FOR MY BELT, WEAPON, TASER, ETC"

Sorry to hear it happened to your family.  Ideally, these officers will be tried, prosecuted, and convicted in the same justice system that they are a part of.  But they probably wont get the adequate amount of disciplinary action. 

These kinds of actions have always taken place by law enforcement but with the internet, cell phones, etc we as the civilian population hear/see/read about it alot more.  There are alot of decent men and women that comprise the various law enforcement agencies in this country, but just like ANY group, our perception of them can be tarnished by just a few.

Hope everything works out, I would not be able to handle this situation as composed as you are.

Maybe you've had many bad experiences, but in the middle of the night, if someone is in your house...unless your packin...i'm sure you're going to reach for the phone to call 911 and not your mechanic or friendly painter/body man.

Respect cops, they put their life on the line daily.

I am very sad to hear this man its crazy how people like that are left to float around and about. Its just not right....the day they roll up on the wrong dude they will honestly regret it. I like cops for what they do but they are also total jerks when they get power hungry

The DA offered my brother and his friends misdemeanors...they declined.  The police department seemed to have "misplaced" the Dispatch Tapes.  I was able to get a hold of the CSI photos.  The boys were beaten really really bad.  I saw them 2-3 days after the beating.  The CSI photos were within minutes of the beating.  The officer that supposedly received injuries to his head...every CSI photo he had a hat on...go figure.  Next court date Dec 11....

man that is messed up like nothign else i can think of

this sounds really texan and redneck of me, but there's a reason why everyone stays strapped in texas. 

checks and balances, the way our founding fathers intended it. cops are less inclined to beat your ass if they know you're capable of owning them with an ass full of buckshot, and likewise you're less inclined to shoot them if you know they're willing to work with you. not to say i haven't met dick cops before, but seems like the majority of police brutality cases are in SoCal and NYC, and what do you know... two places where citizens aren't allowed to arm themselves.

edit: speedaddict, i know you're from atx, this was more of a general statement to everyone else on the west and east coast. and a statement of how disarmament of the citizens is detrimental to society.

DA has dropped all three felony counts on the boys.  My brother and his friends took a package deal.  One roommate got off with nothing...nada zip...  The two other boys (including my little brother) got a misdemeanor resisting arrest which they plead No Contest to according to the people vs. West.  What this means is that they aren't admitting to any wrongdoing/guilt at all.  The outcome of the criminal case cannot be brought up in the Civil Case.  The DA knows they lost the civil side before it even began.  Now its time to find out how much money they are going to offer.  Most likeyly looking at 7 figures here $X,XXX,XXX.00.  My little brother's eye is jacked where he has to wear glasses now because of the damage.  The DA says the officers are going to be pissed....yea I'd say.  That probably means they're out looking for revenge....stay tuned for the CIVIL CASE!!!!!!!!!!!

crazy stuff going on... So the officers had a deposition with our lawyers, and that night a car pulls up to my brother's work (he stocks at night at a big warehouse store : not going to mention the name) and as my brother is walking his manager out to her car at  1 am, car starts shooting at him and blows all the windows out on the warehouse store.  Don't know if its coincidence or what.  The surveillance cameras show nothing except lights on the car coming up and shots fired.  He works in Sacramento so the Sac PD was handling it.  Pretty nuts, but I'm glad he's ok.  He's ready to move but has to wait because of some good personal stuff about to happen.

man that sucks, those guys know their lives are over. thats another reason i carry even into my job, u never know what could happen. tell your brother to hang in there, hopefully it will all be over soon.

oh wow. crazy stuff and i hope it all works out for the better.  Luckily, it seems like the shooting was in a different jurisdiction than that of the police station whos officer beat up your brother.  If it was the cop or w/e, hopefully sac PD can trace the bullets back to the gun.
 
My friend was going through the same thing recently.  Filipino american, him his little brother, and mom were beat up by cops.  Unfortunately, they were not able to receive any compensation.  Hope it goes different for your family.

I'm sorry to hear that man, unfortunately I'm not suprised. OC Sherrif's Dpt. is under investigation for very similar occurences right now. I hope they get thiers, nobody deserves that, it robs you of everything - who do you trust?
