I noticed the first one has a wheel lock on the rim. Would anyone really steal these? Also in Japan I thought it's less likely to get stolen.

WOW!...........not really much to say about that but I'm sure it's gonna spark a few ideas out there!

I have a couple mags that talks about VIPcars being stolen and stripped in Japan happening alot!
The mags have all these crazy anti theft products and shows all these crazy tatics to prevent you from stealing your car!

Bottom line if sombody wants it bad enough, they'll get it!

In November or 2004, Asanti introduced the Luxury Wood Series, featuring multiple wood finishes. The 'Asanti Wood Series' blends the most exotic wood finishes and chrome to create an appearance unattainable by any other custom wheel line. This patent pending finish is painstakingly applied in a multi-step process to achieve a look that rivals any exotic wood. Buyers can choose from a variety of finishes such as burlwood, walnut burlwood, black burlwood, zebrano, walnut zebrano and black zebrano. More finishes will soon be available that will allow for almost endless possibilities.

I think it's more of a car club signature than anything but they look good to me!! I think this trend should come to US very fast since there are waaaay too many cheap chrome wheels with tons of lip which could use that touch.

I've seen something similar before...on exotics and ultra high end cars. Some were just the name of the brand (Asanti was one of them) While the others were random or sports teams that the respective owners played for. I think it's tacky. I could see something mild be more tasteful, but it's still not my cup of tea.

i wouldn't do it my Q, but if i had a Golf i'd totally rock that look with maybe a zebra or tiger stripe or maybe even some leopard print. shit...i'd actually have each wheel a different print and have some day-glo paint on the body and give everyone 80's flashbacks.

i think other designs could look cool but at the same time it is quite tacky. i guess if you have cheap dished wheels it could make them look a bit more individual...

how is it done, is it vinyl then cleared or what? cause i would imagine it would get damaged easy.
