Nope, wouldn't be offended, because no matter what anybody says, it's not going to be the 'correct' definition. This style is too 'original' and you can build a car pretty much however you want and it still be 'vip'.

James, no need to sweat it.  Its always going to be that way.  Everyone will always be "jockeying" to be the "chosen one" for VIP Cars or VIP Style Cars...  if anyone should be offended, it should be mike d., van, and myself.  I think before anyone cared about what VIP was or is up here, we were already breathing it... (please, no offense to anyone.  Just an opinion. I love all my Nor Cal members!  I just want Nor Cal to have the same unity that other parts of the country has)

I learned to ignore it, forget about it, not even think about it.  We got better things to do than argue who in Nor Cal has "the grasp on what VIP is"

Always been my biggest beef about the Nor Cal scene...  No one wants to work together to get it to grow.  Everyone just wants to be the "chosen one" and not care about the community itself.  

my advice, just be yourself and worry about yourself and those closest to you.  My biggest downfall / failure was that I cared about "status" and nothing else.  Don't make that mistake.

were all in this together, and we all lend each other a hand when its needed, :biggthumpup:

I feel weve become almost as tight knit as CL norcal chapter.  I mean look at this air situation, were all scratching each others backs and in the end well all have air! :smiley-rofl:

yea i could not have said this any better. James we all are in a scene of fanboys and purest(or so they think). Its not really how that person perceives you, or how that person thinks hes vip but hes not. You kno your cars hot and you have trophies to prove it. This is the only thing that i dont like about the car scene nowadays..i feel it has gotten to out of hand. people have stopped building cars for themselves and try to impress everyone else with being the IN thing right now. Thats why we have been getting these cookie cutter cars.
 
 
edit: brandon has a point too..i think we have gotten pretty close with our group(dublin BBQ brudduhs in tha house)...and i think if we have more chances to come together we will help the scene grow into something worth taking a second look at in norcal

the VSC nor cal scene is like family.  We all get along really well :)  You all have my phone number if you guys need anything.  :)  

but its outside of our VSC family that saddens me...  but I take the fault for it.  Its my fault for it being that way.  

but don't sweat it James... we all know you can build it as good if not better than the rest of em buddy!

haha Thanks guys for responding ..  .. I just felt like Not just for me but for the Norcal chapter in Vsc is coming up and there are always gonna be the haters ... 

I guess we must tuck and roll ...  I am really looking forward to taking bump stops outta the front (additional 1 inch drop)    slam the front like racing styles ...and also looking to add a 25 mil spacer(front)

 and the rear is now shaved .. gotta fit a 10 mil back there ... before the hella flush meet in july .. 

For the example car(XXXX) ... I give that guy alot of credit for his build ...hes like a best friend but the person who tries to put down the Norcal .. like we all don't build good cars ... ^ them ... and they know who they are ...

LOL   this turned out wrong .. we were all going to eat dinner and ran across a real ford focus hot wheels car ... it was terrible ... all the wrong decision put in to one vehicle .. and I deleted the photo because it was by far one of the worst designs to man ... 

that was when we ate .. everyone was laughing at it .. even old men were like like WTF ? hahaha and taking pictures too ... I am sure it was the security guard car watching out responses

Everyone will be in friendly competition until someones feelings get hurt.  I dont care if you were from Nor cal or so cal its all the same everywhere.  Forums sometimes help kill what was once a good thing because all of the bullshit.  who is to say they know more then others.  Who cares if you were the first or the last.  This is the thing with this community there is no UNITY in this COMMUNITY.  Ive recently been going back and forth on this forum and to be honest in this past year its gone to shit.  I know im not the only one that feels this way and it saddens me that what was once a great thing just became more BS just like the HONDA,NISSAN, JDM, And performance forums.  I have never claimed to know more then anyone and people that know me know that i keep it real.  Dont worry James shit always comes back to those that turn there backs on either there friends or homies.

I think magazine articles are funny because they are the ones writing it not the person that ownes the car.  they take bits and pieces from all the people in the scene and run with it.... Remember its for good reading and if it told the truth it would be boring.  =)

Take a cue at what Autofashion does...  They keep the SD community so damn tight.  Its amazing.  I wish I can have that just for my neighborhood here in SF.  Freddie does it for himself and no one else...  Its great that people involved with Autofashion recognize that and feed off it.  One of my biggest respects I can ever give to Freddie.

You said it best .. Its kinda weird .. I have seen first hand experience with some people who want to watch people flop ... freaking weak .. Our scene isn't that big, and needs to grow, not get divided...drama is for the honda crews and the drifters who need a reason to compete against each other lol...I don't understand how we can actually have drama, we are all just hard parkers hahahahhaha

i first of all would like to say that all our members cali or not are all the basis of this NOT ONLY STYLE BUT MOVEMENT. We have grown out of nothing from the beginning back in what 2003-04?? to a forum of over 11k-12k?? have we all made mistakes along the way? YES hahahahhaha..... have we all grown closer??? YES, I love my Norcal peeps...(sureños fo life) hahahahahha and I love all my Socal peeps...... yea and even all you new yorkers or middle coast and wrong coast people too.... but one bone i have to pick is I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR FREDDIE!!!! :thelaw: he'sbeen fooling with my emotions by promising an L.A. Cool I would hate to think there would be separation between the two, been to both meets north and south and had a great time with both now  all we half to do is meet up in the middle and have a huge VSC meet!!!!!

yea, this post isn't about nor cal or so cal...  Its mainly about things beyond our control.  We can't control others and how they feel.  We can only control our emotions and how we react to other's opinions, attitudes, egos.

I got love for every member of VSC.  No matter whats happening, no matter how u feel about me personally or about VSC as a whole.  We got better things to do than worry about whos "the boss", cause their ain't no such thing.  

We should just feel very fortunate to do what we enjoy so much.
