G50 front lip option FOUND

Ok, scouring the yards, I came across a 94 Dodge Spirit ES like this:

I took it off and noticed it might be too narrow to even think about putting it on a Q.  Looking around the yard some more, I found another Spirit and took the lip.  

So now I have:

2 Dodge Spirit front lips, 
angle grinder,
assortment of sandpaper,
drill w/ bits,
zip ties,
paint & clear,
and a free weekend

(sorry, this isn't a write up b/c I don't like to stop working on something just to take pics.  If you have any common sense and some ingenuity, you can make this happen)

First, the lip is too narrow, thats why you need two.  Second, the ends that go from the corner of the bumper to the wheel well are too long.  All I did with that was cut off the very end of the lip to make an 'endcap' and trimmed the end to fit.  After that, I ziptied the endcap to the lip and done.

Follow your basic painting/refinishing procedures and here is how it looks!

It looks so subtle that if you didn't know Q45's, then it would look stock.  I always thought something was missing on the front of Q45 but this finishes it.  Sorry VIP guys if you were expecting something extreme.

I think it looks great. Subtle and natural. If your aim is clean OEM+ body lines, then this seems to be a great option.

I was never a fan of fiberglass kits.  I'd rather go real low with some simple oem add-on stuff.  Clean and simple.  

Everyone I know that has a clean kit and daily drives on it eventually has a damaged kit.  I wanna avoid that.

Mold those together and it'll be pretty nice. Saw your car at the May 24th meet, we wanted to have you park with us but didn't know who you were! looking good! love the stance on the rims.

good idea piecing together that lip spoiler...
 
but like caoboy said, bond those those sections together and you'll have a near oem looking lip...

first you would grind v's in the groove on the back of the pieces...smooth them out a little using 80 DA...then use the plastic repair (i suggest using the 3 instead of the 10, the numbers represent how fast the cream cures) on the back...cut v's in the front...DA with 80...and then you can either use the plastic repair to fill and skim coat finishing cream or just use straight finishing cream...
 
the pliogrip line is great though...you can bend, twist, etc. and the thing wont snap, break or lose its structure...

+1 on molding it togther. its incomplete until you do that (but it still looks good).

I agree that it would look better molded but don't think I'll be molding these together.  You don't even notice that the lip is two-piece until you're right in front of the car looking at the lip.  I'm happy with it the way it is.  

Plus the materials needed to mold these two together probably cost as much as the lip itself!

it might not look much different but its just the fact that its done right. details deatails details.
