Bought an F50

Finally I have a VIP chassis after doing a 929, SC400 and currently an Acura 3.5 RL.

Found the car on autotrader near San Jose at Carsmith Motors (Fremont). I'd prefer not to discuss the price but it was a a good deal. Flew down from Canada and completed the transaction. Great guys and they are going to join up on the site.

Drove the car straight back (14 hrs). It really gave me a chance to get know the car. The motor is so smooth and powerful. Awesome on the freeway. It rides like a couch. This car is LOT bigger than my KA9. I'm glad to be back and that there were no problems or tickets along the way.

One pic! Yay stock!

Thanks guys! Do it Benji. :)

There are so many things to learn about the car. The power lumbar, figuring out the climate/audio. The side mirrors are interesting. The drivers side automatically adjusts to the light hitting it. It's also hard to keep my foot out of it.

I need to put in daytime running lights this week by using a relay connected to the orange parking lilghts. Then I can finally register/insure it and drive it again.

blackonblack, I thought I would feel cooler but its better just to do your own thing. I still enjoy the KA9 even though its not a traditional platform. Most likely the KA9 will be up for sale.

I was really debating over the 01-03 LS430. I really wanted an 04+ LS430 but its not in my price range just yet. I went with the Q for the price point and the styling versus the 01-03 LS. I'm really happy with the Q so far.

word, but in this case you truly did upgrade. there are some platforms that i would not trade my car (or yours) for, but this is not one of them. nice buy.

Congrats on a new ride. I almost traded in my Y33 last week for a White F50 with cream interior. It had the full factory ground effects and all. they were only asking 14,900 for it too. Dam! can't wait to see this done up.

It's a 2002. I didn't even know there was a factory body kit?

I'd love to rock Air Runner and some nice 19s or 20s. Too bad elite sold his Leon Hardritt Waffes already. Time to part and sell the RL then I can start modding!

The dealer filled it up which was 80 US. Total cost in fuel for 1100 miles was $205 US with 91 octane.
