front strech/ rear strech the same????????

ok im trying to get the same strech as my rears on my front.... what sizes should i use...
 
the tire choice is federal 595
 
rear tires 245/35/19 going on a 11.5j
 
what front tire size should i use on a 10j to get the same strech?

 not too mention how cautious i am so i won't blow a bead or two.   i'd say get a 215 on the 10 to get somewhat a similar stretch. ....don't think they make a 205/35??  unless you go 30 series up front?

205 would be the closest to the same but like grower said, not sure if you can get that. 215 would be good.
 
i'd like to know if you really need all that stretch or your just doin it cause (not that it makes a difference, do your thing).

I'm curious too. Must be a lot of poke to need a stretch like that.

Personally and I know lots would disagree with me on this but iF you need a wild stretch to fit wheels in the rear then the fronts should look the same so the car flow whether you need or not...
 
My personal opinion..just like camber if you are running heavy camber in the rear the fronts should be cambered in just as much if not a little less so the fronts are not straight up and down while the rears are crooked as FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUGGGG..

i totally agree with this statement i will use some spacers in the front to get them to poke how i like em...

btw i got 245/35/19 currently on my 11j and the ride isnt that bad... i think it has something to do with federals running so big

Thats true, your Federals run about 1 size larger. A 215/35 would give you the same amount of stretch on your front wheel in comparison to your rear wheel.
 
I agree with Rich on this one. it has to be consistant. Lots of camber in the rear and none up front looks like ass too me. Same with stretching. Just put that spacer on there like you said and you should be alright

if you drive extremly low with Flush fitment (not tucking by even 1mm) there is no other way

depnding on camber.

you still need a crazy stretch unless your camber is like how grant had it.  Either way you put it, tires will see the next season if your lucky

Not really... I have only a hair over 2 degrees negative in the rear, and my fitment is as flush as can be, with a 205/40 on an 8.5

215/35 on 19x10 will be pretty stretched, i dont know if youd need more then that. There comes a point when stretching is futile, cause if youre low and flush enough, the wheel lip hits the fender.

keep in mind when driving, you have to turn the wheel. When your that low and your tires are not stretched enough, your fender will pop out of place and you can potentially crack the paint too.

BEsides isnt a nice stretched tires just a beauty in itself....
 
I do agree though on a few things..there does get to be a point where its just unsafe and you need that mutch of a strech its time to do some fender worklike widebodyQ did..
 
I am thinking with that mutch stretch must be some crazy camber goinng on and to add to that point some tires that will last a month or so...will be cheaper in the long run to do fender work and tone down some camber and tone down some stretch...will get a niceer looking car with more effort that will clearly show in itself...

If you run 215/40 than it'll have almost the same stretch and be the same tire diameter as your 245/35.

215/40/19 = 25.77"
245/35/19 = 25.75"

running 215/35/19 will give you a shorter diameter overall

215/35/19 = 24.93"

almost an inch shorter!

BTW, I don't remember Federals making 215/40/r19's so good luck with that (unless I'm wrong).

Funny, I was thinking that as I rolled the new tires that arrived today up to my wifes LS400 & noticed the tire was over 1.25" shorter. I figure my FJ runs 4" taller tires, so why worry.

in my case yes it is nessary in the rear... the front not so much but i like the track width front and rear to be almost equal... so if i put spacers up front then yes that strech will be a must

word... if thats the case i demand pics cause its gotta be nasty.

oh yes the pics!!!! ill post em up once i finish my fenders hahaha.... still waiting on my spacers too!!! rear is nasty right now... major rubbage!!! thats what i get for going 11.5" rear with double digit - offsets haaha....
