RC drift cars?

Last night a buddy and i decided that we where going to get some RC drift cars. The thing is we don't know what's the best brand to buy where to get them etc. Nothing too crazy to where i'm spending more on the RC than my real car. The only specs that we are look for are.

Full electric
rechargeable
fast
easily customizable: body parts, wheels, lights etc

I've found a few websites
www.yokomousa.com
http://www.hpiracing.com/home/
http://www.genkidoridori.com/

Thanks

the one i had was a s15 silvia that i got from bestbuy for 50 bucks. all wheels drive, 2 sets of wheels. drifted pretty good.

i took it to a car meet and another member brought his $300 STI drift RC, pretty much did the same thing, and i didnt have to shed a tear everytime i hit something

its a fun toy, not really hobby stuff since u cant upgrade them or anything, but they're fun to mess with.

especially putting fireworks on em and drifitng them

you can also look at kits done by TAMIYA
check out their 1/10 scale rc cars. some of them have a drift spec motor and upgraded suspension. their parts are interchangable with most 1/10 rc kits, whether by yokomo, or hpi or other tamiya.

the HPI 200mm electric is a great RC car. I had mine for about 4 years before I sold it. Took some time to put together, but thats the fun part.

IMO, go nitro. Electric cars are fun but once I bought a nitro car I never looked back.

i bought a HPI E10 Touring r/c car about 3 months ago.stock it could drift but wasnt fast enough.so i put in a 18T "stock is 27T" and its much better.i can hold the drift much longer.but about a month ago i think i may have broke the rear diff and havent played with it since.the E10 is a perfect beginers car and its not too expensive.i think they can go for like $300 for the rtr.

take the front and rear diffs out, and put shoe goo in them. it locks em completely making it great to drift

Yo man these are a grip of cash! If you get one make sure it's electric like those Yokomo ones. They sell them in complete kits ($350-$400), otherwise you have to purchase all the components.controller/gas/drift chassis/etc...=$$$$$$! Even if you get the kit, you still have to buy the wheels and body as it only includes the chassis+controller. G/L, but insted I would just put that money into my car.

LMAO! I've been in-n-out of R/C cars since about 8 years old... first car being a Nikko Rhino in 1985.

I just installed the Jwerks combo in my Mini-Baja and this thing pulls wheelies at almost any speed!!! :3gears: Not ridiculously fast on the top end... but Li-Pos and some gearing will change that. :smiley-rofl:

well i guess i do have a rc car, it is an xmod, not gas, they are really small, i have many bodies for it, like a supra, evo, rsx, 76' camaro, and a 350z, it is cool but i would really want a gas powered car.
