Japanese company unveils car powered by water

damn we already have water crisis.  i wonder if it will work w/ urine. lol.

Im pretty sure Honda is releasing their hydrogen powered car(runs on distilled water) within the next 2 years....  This is a technology thats been around for a while, mercedes has a line up of cars that run on water, but they havent put any into production.

Maybe once our president doesnt receive 90% of his money from big oil we can finally move on as a society.

Interesting statistic... Care to give the source behind that outlandish percentage? :)

Bring on hydrogen cars-- understand though that to "throw" them on the market now could cripple the economy.  I believe we are in a transitional phase right now, but it will take time to properly introduce without severly hurting us... And yes I believe the harm that would come from imediate introduction would be expotential compared to the current oil crisis.

We are not out of the murk yet. Be prepared for higher water bills due to the introduction of such alternative means to power your motor.

I would not be surprized with emergence of city/state ordinances preserving water sources and preventing illegal "fetching". 

On a side note, at upwards of 4.70 a gallon, a Water powered VIP ride is not that bad. Or is it VIP to pay high gas prices without flinching?

That's America's fault for not first coming up with this idea...

If gas prices continue at this rate, our economy will be destroyed anyways.  Many people have already stopped driving to unnecessary distances, eating more at home etc.  While this is good practice for the long run, many businesses are suffering from lack of "consumer-ism".  This is only the beginning, bring on the water cars!

That's pretty wild.  Runs on any kind of water, even tea.  I would guess it must run on piss too, only downside, someone gets in your car and goes "dang it smells like piss in here...."  lolz

It's a renewable energy source finally, hopefully it'll be brought out in a few years...rumor was floating around a while back, that there was a guy who built a water powered car back in the late 40's-early 50's, and was 'assassinated' before he could patent his plans.  ROOMOARz.

Do you ever drive more than 2 hours, as of right now the fully electric rav4 EV's only get about 2 hours driving time. Not very reliable, except for close range driving, around the city. You also need to put up solar panels and a recharging station for the car, and to make your money back of that is like buying 1,000 gallons of gas, and driving for the same time.

Electric isn't bad either... but it is not renewable energy. But they do boast 220 miles per charge at a 135 mpg equivalent. Oh and 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. I want:dance:
