I don't know about anything special for this car, but tehy are springs. How hard can they be, if he has a spring compressor everything should be good.

I would wait for Widebody to chime in before you go forward with anything. And then you can harass him about seeing more pics of his car.

springs are simple. cant say i know a lot about the suspension setup with these cars, but it shouldnt be difficult.

You need a spring compressor for the fronts (you said you have that) and the brakes need to be removed up front before you can start. Takes alittle time but its not hard. The rear is real easy, no special tools needed. Good luck

if your mechanic even has a doubt in his mind about installing springs he shouldn't be your mechanic.

The front shocks sit on the LCA. It's attached to a ball joint. This is a bitch to take out. Took me a couple days to figure it out. Get a ball joint remover tool. Careful not to rip the rubber boot that's holding all the grease in and keeping the dirt out. Take some good wacks at it. Make sure to leave the nut on top so not to mess up the threads while wacking away. The whole suspension is sitting on the joint and the LCA wants to move upwards. You are going to have to fight it all. Like WideQ said the rear is a cinch. I didn't even use a spring compressor for the rear. You'll just have to apply load on the LCA to compress it while taking out the bolt which can be done using a jack.
Also the fronts all you really have to do is take the calipers off but not completely. Just unbolt the lines from the shock and let it sit off to the side....the rotors can stay on but it ways a ton all together. I'd say about 40-50lbs. Imagine trying to hold that with one arm while trying to put the nuts on the top with the other. If you want to take the rotor off then that is another bitch. You have to take the rotor cap off and then there is big ass nut. I think it was like a 32 or 34mm. It's dented so you'll have to straighten it and then back out the nut. The bearing should slide off with the rotor or just the rotor might come off. Mine one of the bearings kind of came out in seperate pieces.
If this is an experienced mechanic then this is nothing new..
PS. While I took the ABS sensor out I cleaned out the junk on it. Dirty grease and probably some bits of metal. The sensor is magnetic.

I appreciate that. I was hunting for F50 springs the other night. Lots of options but most of them are only 35-40mm drop.

if you have a pic of the box maybe someone can translate. there is a gentlemen on clublexus that will translate in the VIP forum.
I just finished changing all 5 wheel studs on the drivers front. Someone overtorqued them and damaged the studs.
