I'm actually carrying over my Macarputer from my GS. I had it in there for over 2 years. I'm debating with the back up camera whether to hook it up or not. but i may install additional USB cams in the front or rear for "rolling" videos or when i need to document when i get stopped by NYC Finest. :thumbdn:
Here what i had for the MACarputer:
Mac mini
Carnetix P1900
external USB 5 port hub
Lilliput 7" Touchscreen (not going to use it in the LS - hooking it up straight into the nav screen)
4 port USB hub
USB GPS Antenna (no need for it now - gonna sell)
Airport Wifi
Radioshark Digital AM/FM USB antenna (no need for it now - going home ;))
Amp Mac Frontend program
Bluetooth
Wireless key board, Mad Catz PS3

My little turbo beast is back to stock and being sold. I hydroplaned during a rainstorm and the suspension and loer body received some damage. I figured it was time to move on to a new project.
Here is new picture of the LS with the Data Air. We've been having some rain so I've been lazy and haven't washed it so please disregard the dirt. ;)

You know, you can mess around with the stock ride height sensors, and get it to go lower hahah. BUT, too low, and it'll deflate the bags completely, which will take forever for it to refill.

I have seen a lot of write-ups about it. Considering I work at Apple, I get a lot of emails fowarded to me in regards to questions about Mac Mini carputers projects. I'm sure a google search will bring up a few. I am not at the office yet so I don't have my emails that have all of these links. Its not too bad, its a fun project IMO...

I did all the work myself the first time, it wasn't common back then. Not as hard as you think it is.
I should be installing it soon, so I'll post up a how-to and pictures.

i tried to get a job at the apple store and got rejected because my availability didn't work out so well.
i just looked at macvroom and it looks very doable, besides the initial investment in parts. if i did it i'd prolly just take my head out and just run the audio straight from the mac mini to my amps, and have those power the speakers.
man i really want to do this now. i need to get a job, college student ftl.

This seller is located in Brooklyn so I just went to him and picked it up since they are local. I know several people who have used this unit with no problems. It's comes with the plug n play harness and also has the aux input if you want to add a reverse camera. It's just a matter of hittin a switch to go back and forth.

I used this for the auxiliary audio inputs and it is also plug and play straight into the radio. It shows up as aadditonal MD Changer menu in the navi and it keeps all the other features in the radio intact.

Another bump from the dead... Where is the Suspension ECU located on your 01-03? I
m trying to install my controller but don't see the plugs or ecu I need under the steering wheel. Please advise.. Thanks- Bryan
NM, I found it... I kept looking at the japanese directions and figured being LHD it would be on the opposite side behind the glove box..
