Question for GS owners

Does anyone on here have a 98-05 GS with Coils and the Junction Produce lip on it? Im just trying to get a feel for if it would be possible to pull that off without risking tearing it off the car while driving down the road. If you have this setup or something similar how much clearance do you actually have under the lip? If I get a GS I definitely want to do the Junction Produce lip on it but I dont really want to go with bags. :dance:

Junction produce doesn't have a GS lip, unless you are talking about the 3rd generation GS.
 
Since you are talking about spending 4500 on a kit for the GS, you might as well just get bags and rims for now, then later on get the kit. No point in spending so much for a kit, only to wreck it with some coilovers because you couldn't get over a bump or driveway.

unless he's talking about the JP sports lip kit.

Is there any reason why you wouldn't go with an air suspension of any kind?

Sorry, shoulda been more specific. I just called it a lip kit because it doesnt have the appearance of a full bodykit.

As far as why I do not want to use bags, I have had a couple friends with bags and they have all had problems with the setups. Bags leaking or blowing out being the main issue. Im not sure if they just had cheap bags or what but it definitely scared me away from air suspension.

Dan, that is not a lip kit. It's a full bumper kit. Trust me, you want bags with a kit like that. I wouldn't want a $4500 to be wrecked just because of coilovers.

Ya, I wasnt sure if it was a full bumper kit or a lip kit. Id be extremely pissed if I broke a 4500 dollar kit thats why I was wondering if anyone is pulling it off with coils. The car Im in right now is only an inch or two off the ground and it scrapes on a daily basis. It wasnt all that expensive though so I wasnt stressing it that much.
