One of my friends had one with an ice maker in it!

oh snap! i wanted one in high school, me and my friends call those the HONG KONG GETAWAY vans! hahah

i had one in high school.  they do crazy doughnuts, but i almost tipped ours.  you can fit 6 poeple in the damn sunroof.

Damm thats old school!! Those vans are the most wanted in Hawaii by surfers.. and theifs.. for some reason those van are stolen just to go to the beach.. I remebr my uncles one getting stollen and being found all intact at the beach a few days later with no gas... and this happend like 6 times.. LOL

niiice! i looked into those for a while they actually use the same chasis code as the lite hiace does. maybe that will give you some leads on some parts. well i think it was the lite hiace. lol it was some form of the hiace.

...its obvious, the rocket is powered by mugen. his engine bay is top secret. have you seen pictures of his engine yet?

My parents had an '84 they bought new in late '83 when they came out.
Ours was an LE two-tone silver top & blue bottom with dual sunroofs, an icemaker,
and very rare 5-speed manual transmission.

They finally sold it about 4 years ago with something like 250K miles on it.
Still ran pretty well (iffy head gasket, would idle on three cylinders) and the 
body and interior were in fantastic shape. I wanted to buy it but at the time
they were living 2800 miles away...

Anyway, keep us posted!

I got a friend that has one right now with 300K on the ticker and still running strong

There was one just like it for sale down the street a couple weeks back for $800 that had the monster sunroof in the middle, same color even. Those are cool, wanted to get one but the wife wanted a previa instead at the time.
