Headliner: how to clean it?
I have a wool type headliners that are beige in color. I tend to roll down my windows a lot so the headliner in the back seat is a bit black. How do I clean it?

I am thinking the black part on the headliner is just dust from pollution. Will water make the dust hard to come off?

first vacuum any excess dirt, whether or not you see it. this is to prevent loose dirt from being rubbed into the fabric.
after that, go ahead with a soft solvent spray and rub out the wool as if it were a carpet stain, since most carpets contain a percentage of wool, it will be the same.
then proceed with a dry towel to dampen out the wetness and thus picking up the excess dirt.
good luck and take your time! depending on how much % the wool headliner is, the more fragile it may be to strong chemicals.
