I had lots of fun. My crew TSV had a strong following. We should have taken best participation since our booth had much more cars then any other booth but there was lots of politics involved.
My boy Rodney with the white TL and AME wheels had the all around sickest Acura and he didnt even get a top 5 throphy for acura. Neither did Max with the sickest RL in the US. Judging was fixed. I will NEVER do another HIN event.
I also cracked a strut that day thats why my drivers side front is cambered in like - 10 degrees and why I didnt slam the car (fearing it wouldnt lift up and the car cant be towed). I also got some nice scars on my bumper because I dont believe in blue tape.

based on the pics...your car and the black MOde Parfume Acura looks like the only one representing VIP. HOpefully the rest of the guys will get motivated after seing your car.

i asked the judge what VIP and he told me Lambos Benz and al those high end cars..

I didnt even classify my car as a vip car because I know they have no clue what it is. its a heavily modified car no matter what catagory you place it in and executed well. No matter what I hear from anyone, I still won't believe it was not fixed and thats the reason I will never take another car to HIN. Not that im acting like they need me, I just dont want to waste a long weekend day on nothing.

Sometimes it is a bit biased....trust me, I judged for NCCA for 2 years and handled all the elite cars. Many winners are either in the points race, or heavily backed by sponsors of the show. I think the staff is a little more aclimated to VIP cars now, but they still have a ways to go. The problem is that all the judges are not familiar with the cars, plus the blurred definition lines with HIN VIP and traditional VIP. Also NCCa goes off a points system that includes engine and systems/trunk. Many VIP cars do not have any systems or engine work. That will hurt you when it comes to adding up your points.
If you went to HIN just to win a trophy, I think you went with the wrong agenda. It's about gaining interest in your car, meeting people who appreciate your hard work, but it's not about receiving a plastic trophy that you end up using as a door stop....:giggity:

I know you put a whole lot of $$$ into your car..the only thing is I say is that its allways the complete package inside and out...One of the maine reasons I allways start inside the car and work my way out with mods....
not saying your car was not worth a trophy BUT how many people are really into SLamme VIP style cars.....Its a sad thing cuase those that are not just can not appreciate the style and the hard work we put into out stance and fitment...and front end conversions like you...

Show was FUN... I was up for 48hrs Str8 finishing up my car's Interior and ICE...
IMHO... HIN Shows are over rated... the only Crews and Cars that receive awards are the ones that follow the HIN Show across the country... But with time they will recognize your car the more they see it...
