Molding Lips

Im thinking of molding my Admiration lip to my front bumper making it flush. is it possible to make it happen?  ive heard some guys saying the fiberglass wont stick to plastic.  any one has experience w/ this.

It is very possible but things to keep in mind
 
Instead of repairing/repainting just your lip when you bottom out, you will have to repaint the whole bumper.  Also, the plastic flex's and the fiberglass doesnt so the part where the two materials connect can easily crack.
 
It would look very clean if you do it but its risky

I'm havin that. Yeah, like Widebody said, it doesn't mix. I have cracks all over man.

argghh.. just what i thought.  i always drive low so i dont think im gonna do this then. :pat:

after seeing the bottom of your lip it would be a bad idea all around to mold it.

whatever man...u just dont wanna do it. lol.  foglights holding on strong bro.  having fun blinding cars infront of me. lol.

ok...bring it by and ill do it for you and ill keep charging you every time it cracks..lol

Yeah Same here, the main cracks are in the area where the fiberglass meets the oem plastic. and in e case of a lip that takes more dmg then on my setup your going to probably have alot more work done. My crack are at the area where the bumper meets the fender and headlights since that is where they were molded together.

Before you mold, make sure you rivet the lip onto the bumper.
 
My friend molded his lip kit onto his GS without rivets and it ended up cracking really bad and broke off later.

hey Noel, I would just keep it the way it is. while it will look hot as hell.... truth be told it will NEVER be permanent unless you leave your car in the garage for the rest of it's life, under normal wear and tear it will eventually crack. Freddie's idea may be a better solution, I mean if you are willing to continue having it molded time after time then you can afford to throw on that kit and redo the fogs! hahahahaha :biggthumpup:
