unfortunatly i cant, im a firefighter and i need my license and deal with cops all the time :(
in australia car must be 100mm at the lowest point and as it sits there it is 102mm
i ran it 60mm for a while but talked my way out of it a couple of times before getting busted.
looking into a mode parfume airbag/coilover setup so i can have it at 100mm high and about 50mm with the bag compressed
 
also just added some nice aristo c pillar badges :)
tint will be in a week or two hopefully but again can only go 35% legal so i might go 20% and hope for the best

why would you lose your licence if your car is too low?
 
here in perth we just get a defect sticker and you need to riase the car and go over the pits to clear the sticker. it costs like $50 each time but thats about the extent of it.
 
it sucks how high 100mm realy is :( i lowered my s13 to 75mm at the front, which means exhaust is 65mm, and it still looks way too high but scrapes everything.

i agree with ya both on this but its the hassle of taking the time to get the road worthy and then going to the state roads to get them to check it so they dont suspend ya rego lol but it hasnt stopped me lowering it further

in qld you get done for money and points when defected for being too low

because of the drop bears. they are trying to cull them as they are a plague so they are trying to get money however they can....
 
ummm sorry bout that, yeah i dont know why. they have some stupid laws like i can run 285 tyres on STOCK wheels but it is illegal to have your wheels wider than 25mm over standard. so mine are illegal but no police know that law :)

I thought QLD was the place to be for modified cars also....Obviously not....I live in Melbourne and the cops are C%&^S here....ever since the 'hoon blitz' if it looks slightly modified just get ready to take the yellow sticker and a trip to the pits.....Not cool man....

Its wierd, on the one hand it feels awesome cruising with the one other vip owner i know, on the other hand i dont want it to get too popular because cops are still a bit unsure of what to do with vip cars and camber/poke etc...

^ WA cops dont need to be sure, they just sticker anything with big wheels haha so i have NO DOUBT mine will cop a few in it's time. im just going to keep my 16s as backup when i get my wheels!

Cops tend to act differently towards sedans/luxury cars... For starters you dont look like a hoon, and you arent making too much noise. A few times i have been pulled over, only to get the "i think your wheels are too big, you should change them or you could get a defect". Or the times i just get followed for a few km (I assume they are trying to work out whether they can book me for the rear wheels), but then they give up after they realise i am just driving normally.
 
 
As for the OP, if the rules in QLD are so strict, you should consider swapping the bodykit for OEM bumpers or a more subtle kit, so that you can go lower without actually looking so obviously low. Rideheight really is a deal-maker/breaker for the vip look...

yeah i know that but like i said i deal with cops day in day out, they know my car and who i amm and they know the exhaust is the lowest part on my car so even if i changed the kit and lowered it they would realise.
i love vip cars but at the same time i love my job more.

well thats fair enough i'm not as low as i'd like to be but thats coz the places i park my car at around work are crappy and have massive rises in the little side streets

My next mod when i get back (apart from putting another set of wheels on/reinstalling my suspension) is tucking the exhaust. Mine is only a few cm off the ground and it scrapes everywhere... Like even on seemingly flat roads sometimes. 
 
I have put up with it because i know its due to be replaced, but i have already worn a groove in my driveway and i know it will wear through the cat soon
 
Doing that alone should let you get a few cm lower and keep the 10cm limit
 
Though if the priority is performance (seems to be a common theme for Aristo drivers in Australia), changing to a smaller diameter exhaust and restricting the downpipe would seem like a crazy idea... Its all about the prioritiessss :biggthumpup:

beleive it or not its actually the stock toyota dump pipe from the sequential system that is lowest :(
alreay tucked the exhaust except for the tip lol, and thats next week

Yeah, mine is the downpipe too... I am getting it cut/reangled so the entire exhaust sits higher than the framerails. Should make scraping over speedhumps a little more smooth and worry-free

^ lol somewhat unrelated to Slain's car but on my old S13 it sat 70mm from the ground at the front, but about 50mm at the exhaust flange for my twin flutes just after the diff. I couldnt get in my driveway and sicne the car wasnt my daily i use to park it at my old man's workshop up the road. he has a roller door to get in & out with a metal plate in the concrete for a lock which is about 20mm high, and then a lip of about 20mm out to the tarmac. Looks nothing to the naked eye but i had to build planks etc up to get over it! 
 
had a guy come to look at my car and he was due in 5mins and i just kept getting hooked up on the thing, couldnt get out. ended up getting him and his mate to lift the car to get it over haha

so ive been away with work for a couple of months and still a few to go so i decided now would be a good time to order parts since im not in any rush. so heres what ive got so far:
junction produce exhaust
firesports japan bodykit (pictured on car i bought it off)
greddy oil pressure and water temp gauges
greddy top radiator pipe
stainless steel radiator overflow catch can
euro indicator mirror covers
jap billet grille (unsure on brand)
blue led lights for gauge cluster
 
still got a few more things to track down in japan but its becoming very expensive with the aussie dollar being so shit at the moment but hopefully by the time i get back next year i will have everything i need sitting at home :)

nah my car is still black but thats the only photo i have of the kit, unfortunatly its still in transit :) but its not like im in a rush or anything
