Help! Tire Suggestions for 18x9.5

Well, my front tires are really stretched out... so much that I had a flat when going thru the speed bumps @ work  this happened twice and got the tire/rim checked and seems there is no problem. Current is a 225/35/18 so ya, pretty stretched for a 9.5 wheel! lol

So what tire size would you recommend to still have a low profile without having the tire too stretched?

What's the Tyre Type?

i have 225/35 on 9.5 with a Federal ss595 and have no issues. my car is an S13 silvia though so it isnt a very heavy car.
 
that said, it isnt *that* stretched, i mean i live in perth in australia and i managed to find someone willing to stretch it quite easily!
 
if you want less stretch just go either up in width or up in side wall e.g 225/40 or 235/35. Sidewall and brand of tyre has a lot to do with how much stretch is acheived..

Grant's been running 225/40 on a 10J wheels. Guess you two are running around the same angle of stretch, given that you're on 35 series with 9.5J and Grant's with 40 series but on a 10J.

Bump it up to a 40 series instead of a 35 series sidewall.

Are we talking about these being on a 147, like in your Avatar?

(those front wheels look tiny... are they 16s?)

The 147 is fairly heavy... a 225/40-18 would still give you a bit of stretch but 
would (for the most part) have a better load rating for the heavier GS.

Or 245/35-18 would look cool but not as stretched.

yep fronts are 18, rears 20's
changed to a 255/35 and i am happy with it =)
Tucson roads are very sucky

Federals have a large rugged sidewall so really can't compare them to other tires.

I figured he would be better with a 245/35 but meh if 255 works, just remember you still haven't installed and set the coilovers.

Sounds good, looks weird!

If you have TCS and/or ABS issues it is due to the taller diameter of the rear tire set-up.

Everyone uses the excuse "so and so roads where I live suck."
Roads suck everywhere. Weak sauce!

Then come out to Tucson and visit. You will be a believer. The roads here are TERRIBLE with a capital IVAN!

Believe it or not, many Scottsdale roads even suck! It's miserable...I never thought leaving CA would bring about crappier roads :pat:

HEY OCKlasse... where you cruising by Scottsdale Ave this weekend in that car??? Just got married and we where up and about the Fashion Square Mall and happened to see a couple VIP themed Benz's and BMW's... 

Update: I am very sure this tyre will be better because the diameter of the rears and fronts is very similar now. The 255/35 suprisingly still looks stretched. One reason I don't wanna post pics is because the wheels I have right now I consider them a 'tire/wheel fittment excercise'... in other words, they are cheap wheels I aquired to test fittment and experiment with my coilover setup.
