Suggestions for the site

I'm making these suggestions based on some other sites I have been on and things I have seen and liked. I think there should be a wheel guide stickied in the Wheel and Suspension area. Why I think there should be, because besides the limited number of experienced and knowledgable members already on the forum, the community itself is small compared to other styles in the modifying car world. A majority of this forum is new members will little knowledge to this particular type of style and everyday the forum continues to grow with new members with new questions etc. Most members are unfamilar with all the VIP style rims so imho I tihnk it be good to have a wheel guide sticky.
 
Next there should be a body kit/ body modification guide in each of the platform area's, Example Lexus kits, or nissan kits etc. So instead of post after post of what body kits or searching for hours and never finding what your looking for you can go to whatever car you want/have and see the particular mods for that car.

Not that I disagree w/ your suggestions, but I have a few questions.  In regards to the wheel guide first off. What are you expecting exactly? A list of companies? Cause there are alot of them out there as you may already know. The same goes for suspension. And, well bodykits....

yes but it be nice to have atleast a good amount in 1 place to look at etc. And yes there's a lot out there, many that none of us have even heard of. I'de do it mysl;ef but i know there's a lot of things out there I've never seen etc.

A list of companies with pics of different style wheels would be really nice. I can start working on something then post and add to it if anyone else would like to see this.

It also help if it were pics of specific VIP cars, one place I got this idea from is a 350z forum where there were pics of each body kit on a Z. I know theres not only one type of car on this site which is why i suggested each section have its own specific body kti section or atleast a section where you post notihng but pics of your car etc.

theres something to be said for taking your time, learning, and finding cool little things on your own.
 
everybody knows jp and work, etc. once you hang out, learn, and start researchin (mags, sites, etc.) its a whole new level. being flooded with all the info. on the front page would probably be more hurtful than helpful.
 
example: you decide you like vip, join up, and have a list of "vip parts", so you breeze through and buy up everything without having enough time to develope your own style/learn the ropes.

IMO and me thinks the mods will agree, this isn't gonna happen. We all have taken pride in the fact we have all discovered what we know through research and with time. I don't feel that this is a "just jump right in" scene, but doing a catalogue may IMO create that kind of enviornment. PPL here know things and are will to share, if asked...

this was done over 2 yrs ago but the anti-n00b button (search) must be escaping you! :pat:

man i must say that search on this site is particularly bad. i knew what i was looking for and couldn't find it (several times).

i get were your coming from get me vip, but agree with these guys. i like it to be a little more difficult to find wheels, suspension, ect. simply because i don't want some random guy to see something quick and copy it when i've been searching days or months for that same info.

actually it works well if you kjnow what keywords you are looking for hahahahaha in this case a search for prussian (prussian blue but the keyword blue will give off bs threads) would have brought it up!!

Yea i agree to, VIP is pretty exclusive at the moment and it will help it from becoming the cool tihng to a lot off people who come and just stick around long enough to se whats cool and copy it.

agreed...it would be like having an idiot guide to vip styling

"make the car fit the wheels"

if you want to find out standard sizing for your car, whip out the tape measure and some string. if you hand something to someone on a silver platter, they don't appreciate it as much.
