Hello from Manila!

Hi VIP'ers! :inoutwavey:

This is kinda strange. I posted late last 2007 here in the forums but for some reason went back to having zero posts. Anyway, might as well just reintroduce myself. I'm Gilbert from Manila, Philippines. 31yrs old. Currently driving a '90 Toyota Crown Super Saloon (GS-131). I finally got around to installing a set of 17" wheels last week. Car still needs a lot of work though to get it to look right. Just taking things slowly as budget allows.

FWIW I'm currently running the following wheel/tire combo...

F: 17 x 7 Starform (114.3 x 5); 205/45R17 Dunlop Lemans LM702
R: 17 x 8 Starform (114.3 x 5); 215/45R17 Dunlop Lemans LM702

Tires are definitely stretched but are just too tiny for the car. Still saving up for a set of bigger tires for a set of 17x7 & 17x9 SSR AD that I have sitting in the living room.

BTW, don't mind my avatar. That was my previous daily driver... a '91 Toyota Corona GL (ST-171).

Thanks for the welcome! Photos to follow tomorrow or later in the week. Weather hasn't been cooperating lately. Either it's blisteringly hot out or it's pouring down like crazy. The car's been getting dirty way to quickly. You know how the roads are in Manila. Need to do a full car wash every other day or it'll look like I drove cross-country for weeks on end. Bummer.

Anyway, here's how the car looked like a few month ago...

I've been running these wheels now for the past week...

Sorry for the late reply.

The Crown rides on a much larger chassis than the Cressida. The Crown actually is the top of the line model of Toyota in Japan, second only to the uber-expensive CENTURY. The Cressida has a chassis more akin to the Corona & Camry.
