you guys cocky platform attitude has been addressed publicly several times and this is a place for all who are interested in vip styling regardless of what car they drive or if they even own a car at all. thats from the [I]owner[/I] of the site.

Rich...my suggestion to you is to calm down and take a few steps back.  Your attitude has been slowly escalating...yet again.  You do this each time you "leave the forums for good".  You go, you come back, you're cool for a while, then you slowly turn back into the same thing you were each time you had left.  

Please Rich..you do have some valuable information to share and you also have some skill with the airbrush.  You do have something to offer, so offer it, but don't get a big head or start being a miser..it's not cool and not respected.

BlackonBlack .....Freedom of speech is everywhere...its bigger than a forum...Its our first ammendment right as a US citizen.. This is not a private site unless you have to pay fees to be apart of wich currently I do not recall paying to join VSC...

Besides VIP is a Platform+Stance + Fitment..nothing more or less..Their are levels of how custom a car can be but does not exclude nice wheels and a drop and ofcourse a correct platform. There is no tricks its plain and simple..
 
I have publicy tried to be cool with you and even push people your way with business when I could not be of assistance to them...I knew you were not going to ever accept an appology.

Rich, I'm not quite sure what was directed at whom in your post.  I will say this, if someone thought it was directed at him..it doesn't matter what your intentions were.  They felt it and they felt it was directed at them, end of story.  See, I didn't look at his sig as directed at you..but I can see you don't like it..funny how that all works isn't it.  No one is being biased here Rich.  I would remove that now from his sig (but I'm not an admin)..and I feel he'd be okay with it, since his point was made.  I'm sure that's the only reason he made it in the first place.  You however had a much larger agenda and to offend far more people.  When you realize all of this, you'll see that none of us are against you Rich..we just don't agree with your attitude in handling these situations.  

I'm glad that you're doing something good for yourself in business.   It's nice to receive praise, but don't do things with that as your main goal.  Do them for you, to make yourself happy.

I think you're just stressed out..take a little time to relax man.  Maybe you're working a little too much?  Kick it back a notch and see how you feel.  We're not the enemy, so don't portray us as one..and also don't assume we're all somehow in cahoots.  That would be a huge assumption...

Rich, there are TONS of "non platform" cars in all the VIP mags, and there have been for years.  There are the "generally accepted" cars, but many, many others fit the mold just as well.

As for the freedom of speech thing, this is in fact a private forum because someone owns it.  Just like at school you have to follow the rules, and can't tell a teacher to fuck off w/o getting in big trouble.

Myself, I had a somewhat similar in terms of my believing it was free speech thing on NICO about 1.5 years ago. When the Virginia Tech shootings happened, and someone in the thread said "how can this happen???"  to which I said "easy, any moron can go out and buy a hand-gun" which is exactly what did happen and they said "keep your BS POLITICS out of it" and perma-banned me. They claimed my comments were politics, but I consider mass murder MORALS, not politics.  But the reality is that I was 100% right, and even Congress backed me up by making it much harder for people with known mental issues (as the shooter had) to buy guns.  But apparently they're NRA nut-swingers and I never went back or tried to get back on NICO . Yet my car is still a ROTM for March of last year.  FUCK NICO.  Which is why I push Fresh Alloy as a great technical site for Q owners and thankfully FA has grown into a great Q resource with much better quality members than NICO. I like to think I had a little to do with the Q forum growing because I tried to get every Q owner I know to post on FA instead of NICO.

Point is, we all have to follow rules set forth by forum owners weather on VSC, LJC, my Luxozine site, or whatever.  It's like the sayings in stores or bars / restaurants: "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone", "No shoes, no shirt, no service", etc.

well first of all you need to brush up on your constitutional rights. the internet as a whole is constructed of information stored on private servers. yes you can say whatever you want [I]if[/I] you are saying it in your own domain. when you are in someone else's domain you are subject to his rules. 
 
second, we can play the cool game but no matter what is said between you and me once you make a general attack against a group i am a part of i [I]will[/I] take it personal (whether it was or not, its called principals).

lastly, you guys with lightly modded platforms (not just you rych) need to check your egos at the door. its been really ugly lately. i can count on my fingers probably (if not fingers and toes) the number of cars in the u.s. that have achieved true vip status. the rest of y'all are just platforms and dreams. you are [I]not[/I] vip.

I have to be honest here..he "gets" the style more than most people on this forum.  The fact that he doesn't have a regular platform means nothing.  If Taketomi (only used him as an example of a name more people know..not because some people think he's the last word in vip) built a Yugo would you say he knows nothing of vip or the style?  No, that's just ridiculous, he's just building a car.  Same thing applies here.  The funny thing to me is that he's never claimed his car was a vip car?  So why do some of you keep saying things like that?  You preach freedom of speech, then you dog him for his?  Haha, I don't get it?

I remember a member on here with a protege, firelizard or something, he has a non platform car but yet very VIP influence and to me is that if he saw Rich's sig and is not offended by it, no one here should be offended by that little slogan.

seriously, saying stuff like that really trips me out. kind of shows how your superiority as a mod or admin or w/e, can do what you please.IMO. but everyone is the same as the other, mods or a junior member. sometimes some mods think they have the power to do stuff to other members like banning them or erasing sigs or whatever. Seriously, that's the way most MODs are at ClubLexus. which made me feel uneasy and at that point i signed up for VSC since i felt like i could feel comfortable. 
 
I know that we're not getting charged membership fee and if we dont like it we can go to a different forum, but punking people around isnt cool either (not saying anyone is). And trust, the forum is mostly alive because of sponsors, but if everyone left, sponsors leave too.

Why do you take things so personal when it comes to words..you act like you are above the rest and your build will show it..( I am not saying it wont..) But you can't be on both sides of the fence..

I could have easily had my car with air,kitted up...but I choose to invest my funds back into my business. I have spent well more money this year on my business and equipent so I could do more and stop farming out business and keep in house than lots of folks have spent on there buids. NOt bragging but life is not just about cars and that is my point in this paragraph..
 
What do you consider a VIP car...If I go and by an aero kit and have some proffesionaly done fender work do I fit in to your qualifacations??? Becasue thats the only thing that is left..is a kit and body work...and that is just cherries on the cake but the cake is allready made and beeing eaten..

Again, one man's opinion.  We have how many members?  I have been saying that I agree with many of the points here (like for people to calm down), but the one that can't be denied is..all it takes is for one person to be offended.  That's it.  Rich knows what his intent was...and to me it was poorly thought out.  That is my opinion...but it's shared with others.   If you had other than a "platform vehicle" your opinion might be different.

now the funny thing is that someone who says "get a platform or go home" (the equivelent of "your car isn't good enough") would be saying that.
 
my idea of a vip car is a car that has no part untouched and has pushed the envelope in at least one direction. the details are unclear since theres so many ways to do it, but you know it when you see it. theres a ton of kitted/wheeled/slammed cars that are clean and on their way but i wouldn't call them vip. i'd call them "aspiring to be vip".
 
i could have bought 2 or 3 or 4 platforms for the money i've spent on my maxima. coulda, shoulda, woulda... does that make me vip? cause i could have?

There are so many cars in the mags that are just slammed with not to much going on and if they were not vip enough to cut they would not be in the mags to begin with..

I have done a lot of work to my car in the interior....a lot...maybe because its painted it does not hold ground in your books...but you know what the day someone could match my airbrush skills in woodgraining is the day I will bow down to them...What I do is crazy custom...I have planned alot around my car and the way I want it to look...How many folks have successfully built themselves a VIP dash table...only a handfull..that shit is not cheap or unworthy of beeing considered a mod.. when folks around look into my cars interior they can not believe how badd ass it looks and thay I did it...folks on the internet have seen my car..on car domain here LJC and youtube and get nothing but mad props..your one of the few that has never giving me props..welll one time when I built the first table and wanted one for your maxima then turned around and critizied me and all...when we got into beef...
 
I am very proud of my build thus far and really do not seek appoval...To me thats when your VIP when you no longer need approval for your cars status..

see the problem with rules is once there is an exception it is no longer a rule, by definition.
 
so since the only definition you guys have to go by is the "10 platforms" once you accept anything else you have to abandon the rule. there is no abridged list. its A) 10 platforms or B) whatever works.
 
so when you say go platform or go home i really have to know: what makes you think you have the right? there are non platforms that are sicker than anything in the u.s. these are the cars you guys are imitating. you need to pay attention.

I'm a man and I stand on my own two feet, no need for anyone to back me up, but in spite of that fact I do have the support from staff and owner alike, only for this reason:
 
WE NEED UNITY IN THIS COMMUNITY AND LESS NEGATIVITY. FOR THIS REASON AND THIS REASON ALONE I CHANGED YOUR SIG. 
 
I believe we all have the First Ammendment right to free speech, but with rights come responsibilities..... responsible speech IS free speech.
 
Rich I have been your defender on many occassion, I have been your facilitator many a time, now I will be your advisor and as always your friend... Please understand that this was not the manner in which to address this and I know you know that. I will forever be on your side of things, and honestly so is the staff, all of it including Mike (elpres). You wouldn't believe how many times I've received calls and messages from him when things happen on the site and he brings up your name defending you against someone. But this is something we as staff don't make public and you know that man, you were a part of the staff before.
