need help on war against knock off's

on this other forum usimports.org someone started a rant against rotas. now all these morons are saying how they'd rather get cheap knock off wheels than used good wheels that cost the same. some chime in on how tire stretching is ugly and other crap. can somone give me some more points on why these people should give up on knock offs or perhaps post up against them. here is the thread: [url]http://usimports.org/forum/showthread.php?t=821[/url]

It's useless.

They don't care about the companies at all, they only want the cheapest wheels they can get, and the difference in quality isn't appreciable to them.

Believe me, I've tried, you either get it or you don't.

Ditto, Happened to me in this one forum i was in. Bunch of senseless idiots, they all stand up for each other like knock off's are the shit.

we had this debate over here and well, heres the thing:
 
1) you're not going to change anybodies mind. it boils down to a moral issue and ppl are going to do what they want to do. the most you can hope for is too embarass ppl out of them, but still they do not understand the underlying issue.
 
2) you have mods supporting the knock-offs, which isn't going to help.
 
3) that forum is too new to be waging war on anything. since everybody is a noob (the forum is only 3 months old) there are no OGs. no ones opinion will be highly valued enough for anyone to listen.
 
i tried to look through my old posts to find the big knockoff debate we had here but apparently i argue too much cause my posts wont go back that far.:smiley-rofl:

Plus the last thing we want is people thinking VIP members are trying to attack knock-off users. Let them have their knock offs and when your questioned about why didn't you get rotas instead of paying so much for Volks explain your point then.

This forum is against knockoff's and that's all there is to it. Knockoffs will never be sold here from a vendor, knockoffs will never be proudly 'repped' here.

I 'm not saying that this forums supports it, but why go on another forum to attack other users for their beliefs, just worry about it when or if they come here.

Nothing else you can do really. Starting a 'war' against knockoffs on another site is impossible. We can only do what we can HERE. Just like you will only be able to do what you can there. If you don't support it, then don't support it. Don't bash it, and start arguments and potentially get banned, just don't condone it, when someone tries to tell you that you should buy the knockoff brand for the price, then explain to them why you won't. Thats the best you can do really.

fighting against knockoffs is like trying to fight crack sellers

if people want it, someone with money will produce it and make tons on money. if you tell someone not to buy it, another will come along and scoop them up
