Fabulous GS grill is finally in (even though its weaksause)

So I wanted a 2nd gen GS for like.... 5 years.... even when I had my LS and 1st gen GS I was still modding it in my head. So naturally in those long years I saw many a GS grill and fell in love with the Fabulous grill, which was sweet because no one really ponied up for it... except for Noel, who is a good man for doing so ;) When I finally got my long awaited GS modding the grill was the top of my list. So when I got finally got the Fabulous grill, I had turned it into a pretty big deal in my head.

[b]HOWEVER[/b] in my head I [i]thought[/i] that $640 got you a OEM matched black plastic grill with chrome frame and aluminum slats hand polished by topless japanese girls. [b]As it would turn out[/b] it's a freakin' fiberglass pooper with a vacumed chromed thin ass ring of plastic around it. Not beboop guys. Not luxury and defiantly not skibbidybebippu.

But whenever, I went a different direction with it and I think it turned out pretty nice. I was going for a more modern/OEM look and I think it pulls it off nicely. I was inspired by the Hyundai genesis in a obscure way. So there you have it, and mod with a backstory.

The moral of the story is: Fabulous..... :slap:

I like the Fabulous grill, but for that price I would go with JP. Waiting on the pics. =)

lol...word man. i was suprised to when i recieved it.  i warned you before i shipped it, that it was fiberglass.  but like everything that comes from japan its going to cost an arm and an a leg.  cant wait to see what you did to it!

^ Noel I love how the deal worked out, that really kicked ass thanks again. Don't get me wrong fiberglass is fine I was just really surprised! Your artisan spirits front bumper is freakin ridiculous man. I had to go hunting to figure out what that was. Looks phenomenal!

Again like I said the Fabulous grill has a nice OEM look at the same time is really fresh. I like it alot cause the people who don't know what it is (like the dude working at the gas station after I painted it) who said it was really clean, and the people who do know what it is will be like "Damn!! Thats the Fabulous grill!"

geez thanks for the props man. yeah the fab is og. havent seen alot of cars w/ it. i think youll be the only one lol. i loved that grill. when i switched to oem chrome..it wasnt the same...but the Junction Produce grill is making it easier to forget lol. keep us updated w/ your project!

I wasn't able to take pictures till later in the day as the sun was going down. The light reflects off of it very nicely in the daytime. It's gunmetal metallic with black powdercoated mesh behind it. The DRL's are 5 LED clusters (white) and the missing foglight is a lesson in bolting things in before going to the gas station.

Looks good, I expected my Garson grill to be the same way, but to my surprised, it was all metal...
