IMAX theatres

Alright whats the deal with these. I've never been to one but heard the screen is huge and wraps around you. i've heard it sucks and not worth the money, but also heard some are awesome.

regular ticket is 8.50

IMAX ticket is 15.00

is it worth the money?


movie would be Batman Dark knight of course

they are pretty dope you just gotta get there early enough to choose the perfect seats. screen is huge, i would do it, that and the RealD 3D is dope, just saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in RealD 3D and it was pretty sick.

its cool but if your sitting off to the side its not worth it

IMAX has a huge ass screen with wayy better resolution than a normal one.

its not the size that counts, its how you use it

Imax is a great experience! My girl and I saw 300 in Irvine, the only complaint was the super sized ass-shot. :(

i think the museum has that...but i forget its been years since ive seen it. or maybe it was nasa

imax is cool, huge screen, and not to mention the sound is awesome. 15$ is prolly worth it the first couple times i guess.

id go see batman there but all showings are full for the next several days so im hittin the drive in!!

i think its only $10 or $12 for imax here in seattle..

drive in is $8.50 for a double featuere :)

saw Wall-E and The Hulk last week... hells ya

It's pretty cool! A true IMAX film will be filmed with an IMAX camera so there is actually a picture 360 degrees around the entire dome screen. So you really feel in the film. When they show regular films on the IMAX screen it just kinda curves around a little bit but you don't get the true IMAX experience. I saw Lord of the Rings on one and it was worth the $15. Forever Knight would be real cool IMO...
