1990 Jaguar xj6 Vanden Plas Build Thread

My Official Jaguar Build Thread. I was finally able to install the fuel tank and fuel pump and she fired right up. I had to buy a new fuel pump and get a diffrent gas tank because the original was rusted out. I also notice that these jaguar tend to develop rust between the botton portion of the fuel tank and the floor where it's mounted to so i sprayed some black sealer to prevent it from happening again. I believe the reason for this is because the rubber gasket that goes between them starts letting water get pass it. Well here some pics.

Yea it's ganna take a lot of work. I plan on modifing the fenders and quarter panel because I want to have a big lip. I'm also swapping out the soild headlight to the quad headlight with hid's.  I'm still lookin for a body kit but i'm not really digging the ones i've seen. The main reason is that they don't replace the stock bumper and i hates those stock bumpers. But right now i'm concentrating on getting the engine running perfect with some mods.

Thank god.  I hate the bricks..that's what we jokingly call them.  It goes away from the traditional double rounds.  I have some things I could show you...if you're interested.  
As far as aero, I'd look into some aftermarket aero for other cars and mold them to the stock bumper for something a little more modern like that one black XJ40 in Japan did.  He also did a cool LED rear tail conversion:

pls keep us updated!  looks in decent shape for the price you got it.  cant wait to see what you do to the suspension.

Just a quick update. Haven't really had a chance to work on the jag much. I'm still waiting on some parts to arive. I finished the quad lights and put up the new grill. As soon as i have more i'll post up. ------- Guevara Built

Jags are so underrated, but i still fucking dig em

I love how the long wheel base makes the car look even lower. Jags are really "flat" cars...put 20" on there and they look like 24" haha
