G50 Strut Bushing Part #?

Can any of you guys that have done the z32/g50 suspension help? The G50 bushing that you need to press into z32 struts, or can I reuse the ones that came with the q45.

If it doesn't rip you can.  Different brand shocks have different I.D. where the bushing goes though.

OEM has an outer sleeve that comes out with the bushing when its pressed out.  Aftermarkets usually have just the inner sleeve and a bushing.

hmmm... i bought tokico hps. what are my likely options here? i geuss if worst comes to worst i can make a polyurethane bushin using the oem sleeve.

That'll work.  Try pressing out the OEM bushing first.  The guy that did mine said they may rip but they didn't.

BTW aren't OEM G50 struts made by Tokico built to Nissan specs?

you would know better than me (although i think i have heard that before). reason i went with tokico is because they made an affordable suspension kit (springs/struts) that was a small drop (vs. stock z32) and made to work together.

Yeah, I saw your new (to you) Q45.  I'm happy to see that more and more people are starting to pick up the old Q45's.  

I wanted more of a drop so I took off the OEM springs and started piecing together a G/C setup.  The spring rates I'm riding on now are way too soft so I'm looking for a pair of 12-13 kg springs.

I'd like to go with a bagover setup one day too but before that, there are other plans for the Q.

the kit i ordered was not actually in stock so i got a refund and haven't oredered anything else yet.

Hey is your G50 a Kouki or Zenki?
if Kouki want to sell me one of the front struts? Im in need of one.

I've read on NICO that the early (90-93) g50's have smaller diameter fr. lower strut mount.  Front struts for the g50 (early vs. later) aren't interchangeable.  Maybe the 300zx struts will bolt right in?  

Midnightslide (?sp) on Nico has a zenki g50 with modded megan Z32 coilovers and he didn't mention modding the fr. lower strut mount like other's with kouki G50's have.

I say give it a try, maybe you won't have to press out any lower strut mount bushings.  That would be hella easy then.

i have decided to just replace the shocks with oem replacement tokicos and wait to buy some jics so someone else will have to be the guinea pig.

That is correct. which probably why the there is no mention of modding the strut mounts for Wes' setup. the Zenki G50 and Z32 should be the same size.

just snagged some front tokicos on 1/2 day weekend...
