TTE lip install Q?

I've searched but didn't find what I was looking for.

My main question is what adhesive (silicone?) should I use? Any tips on installing a TTE lip? I be riding pretty low and be pretty mad if this thing just gets ripped right off.

is this the one you picked up from mark?   if you can fit some 3m double side tape i would use that, if your cant i would use a good  two part epoxy that you can find at home depot.

Yeah, this is the one. I don't think double sided tape would work to good on this lip. epoxy! I can probably check that out.

yeah, just get a 2 part epoxy but i would get the 3-5 minute one because you might run out of time and it might dry before you get it fitted correctly.  if you  need help call mark or bring it by my shop...ill help you out with it.

Been researching and I don't want to be setup for failure. 

Using a 2 part epoxy would be pretty permanent instal for the lip. I would like to be able to take it off at a later time or if I didn't mount it right the first time.

Any other suggestions would be helpful. Anyone?

I just used good ol 3M window silicone.  Worked good for me.  Then I just taped it for a day for it to try nice and tight.  Tape vertically from the bottom of the lip, pulling the tape up to the top of the bumper making it nice and snug.

3m outdoor heavy duty mounting tape, or trim tape, has a red backing, sell it at home depot, and auto places.

Someone just referred that to me today. I was trying to think what kind of silicone would be strong enough for that. I guess I have my answer. Did you also use any screws or just the silicone?

I don't know if the tape would work. The lip is not a flat surface so I don't know if the tape will make enough contact with the bumper.

You can find the 3M silicone at most auto stores, I got mine at Autozone.  

I had a shop paint and install the lip for me, and told them to use silicone, but they only 3M double taped it and screwed the sides.  Basically the lip ended up undoing itself in the middle to the point where it was just hanging.  So I ended up picking up some silicone and sealing the middle of the lip and taping it up for 24hrs.  I had it for a month now and have no problems what so ever.    Hope that helps

we have a glass company next door to us that have some pretty strong stuff..i will check tomorrow to see how much they will sell it to me
